Well, now I've gone and done it. I mistakenly cut open a package with fabric scissors and now I've opened a portal to hell.
Some companies won't trust an employee with a disability, like #ableist Rack Room Shoes. #BoycottRackRoom
An employee asked if he can WORK from HOME permanently.
"As long the work gets done I don't care whether you work from the South pole or the office. I hired you for a job and I trust you to get it done." HR Manager replied.
That employee saved 3 hours on commute. Happy employee = greater productivity.
If you focus on presence, you get presence. If you focus on results, you get results.
If you can't trust your employees, why hire them at all?

Until 10 days ago, I enjoyed my part-time contract job in Rack Room Shoes' corporate legal dept. They knew I was disabled. I found out I had to be out for a month due to a medical procedure and my contract was cancelled. Ableism at its finest. Pls retweet #BoycottRackRoom
