How I identify my people: I say "Oh, I collect terrible lesbian crime novels!" and see who pops up like a meerkat.

Okay, so we're doing this. #worldcon (Yes I noticed that there was a space for the pronoun sticker AFTER I took this photo and fixed it.)

Just so people know – I will be at worldcon next week! I currently have no plans and all of the anxiety, but I'm looking forward to seeing people!

Work have a response board where they ask questions and get students/staff to leave post-its with their answers. This week is asking for queer book recommendations. I'M DOING MY PART. O7
Post-its suggesting * The Red Scholar's Wake by Aliette de Bodard (Vietnamese empire IN SPACE, marriage of convenience, PIRATES) * I Want to be a Wall by Hanami Shirono (Aro/ace BL fangirl lavender marries a gay man who's pining for his gay best friend. Together they accidentally derail amato- and heteronormativity.) * Wandering Son by Takako Shimura (Two trans kids explore gender and presentation in believable ways) * Our Dreams at Dusk by Yuhki Kamataro (Fabulist slice of life about finding a queer community through renovating houses)

What task do you keep thinking about doing, but can't get yourself to start? 🤔
Circular flowchart. “Too anxious to start on anything” leads into “stressed about not getting anything done,” then back to “too anxious to start on anything”—creating an endless loop.

I cannot distinguish between TV characters with the same haircut and uniform, but by god I can apparently recognise Ethan Hawke from fucking NOTHING.

Other actors I can do this with are explicable! Chris Pine has very distinctive eyebrows, Gideon Emery has an unmistakable voice, other actors just have really obvious noses, but this? Nope. Can't explain it.

Me: What if I wrote a drabble about Astarion seeing Baldur's Gate in daylight for the first time in 200 years? BG3: Oh that's canon, you just didn't trigger that scene.

Hey, when's the last time you backed up your over 75k art, reference and asset files that you use for literally everything in your professional and personal life? You should maybe do that.
