All software is deterministic.
That software bug? deterministic skill issue.
That vulnerability? deterministic skill issue.

It's starting. π€HuggingFace is disabling models.
Use modelscope.ai if you want to be 1337
Huggingbay.xyz also exists.

Iβm in a book store. I love them.
Ever notice how many books should have been 15-20 page blog posts?
100 years ago there was a thriving industry in 10-50 page pamphlets that sold for lower price points.
Capitalism killed it.
Nobody in the chain wants to be in the low priced, hard to display pamphlets business.
So we get books that are 20 pages of meat and 180 pages of fluff.
Capitalism is the best.
Itβs also the worst.

Biggest revelation this week - the fact that Scarlett Johansson looks identical to a young Christopher Walken.

Physical media is almost a Fahrenheit 451 (where people memorized entire books and thus became the book they loved) level of responsibility. If you own a great 4K HD, Blu-ray, DVD etc etc of a film or films you love... you are the custodian of those films for generations to come.
Christopher Nolan says thereβs concern of content disappearing from streaming services.β
βThere is a danger, these days, that if things only exist in the streaming version they do get taken down, they come and go.β

Massively under-reported science story because there's so much going on right now but...it turns out that we might have figured out what's causing this very scary spike.
Quick thread, on how WE'VE BEEN ACCIDENTALLY GEOENGINEERING FOR DECADES...but then we stopped:

When you learned how to walk as a child, I guarantee you fell down 100βs of times.
But I also guarantee you never thought βthis isnβt for meβ.
So why now, as an adult, you try something and immediately give in?
Itβs because as a child, you have full encouragement from everyone around you.
Thereβs nobody who would have the audacity to look at a small child and go βgive up loser lmaoβ.
But as an adult, you get mostly judgement, hate and disbelief.
There are people out there who genuinely want to see you crash and burn.
Whether thatβs because of jealousy or pure hatred, I donβt know. And itβs not for you to worry about.
What you should be focused on is ignoring the naysayers, and keeping that childlike mindset.
Do not give in until you win.
End of an Era. It was a wild ride. #RIPTwitter
