Need Clarity? Act now →
Joined July 2009
I make it easy to get shit done... for highly-skilled generalist entrepreneurs... who just tripped and fell off their mountain, and are now stumbling towards the pit of despair. Look. I've hit rock bottom 3 times. But the 4th time I fell I had built the strength and wherewithal to catch myself on the side of the cliff. So I climbed back up fast. It wasn't easy. It wasn't fun. But it helped me understand what is needed to keep shit going. Now... What's better than the cure is prevention. So if you're caught in the fog of uncertainty, and you're worried the insane future we'll see in the next few years is gonna make you trip and fall.. I suggest you clear up your path asap. I've put together a short guide on finding clarity and staying true to your purpose. You can access it here: actionsmithing.com/c/3-steps And if you find yourself in the pit of despair already... Clarity alone won't get you out. There are solutions, though. Tell me your story and I'll make it easier for you. So that, one day, action will be effortless.

Words are cool... An agency is an organization which acts on behalf of others. You have agency when your organism acts on behalf of yourself.

Action is the language of creation. So be honest: what have you actually said you'll do? How far along are you on your path to victory?

I did a deep dive on branding agencies and wtf actually holds them back from attracting and closing leads. If you're a service agency founder or operator, fix all of these asap or you'll never make it past 1M AAR. It's on LI though because of reasons: linkedin.com/posts/ioan-spee…

Alliteration is cool.

Hm… is it called alliteration when it’s the end of the word?

New day, new year, new… wait a minute. Nothing’s new. The calendar flipped. You didn’t. Same habits. Same defaults. Same choices running on autopilot. That’s why New Year’s resolutions fail. They assume time creates change. It doesn’t. Only actions do. If 2026 will change it’ll be because you did. Decide who you are every day. Become who you are with action. Let me know who you’ve become later :)

"Agency is not the freedom to act, but the authorship of action."

If everything in your life feels optional, don’t be surprised when you do nothing. Smart people freeze because they can see too many paths. Capable people hesitate because they can afford too many options. Freedom creates abundance. Abundance creates paralysis. The mistake isn’t choosing “wrong.” It’s refusing to choose at all. Pick one direction. Say no to every other option. Commit until reality proves you wrong, not your imagination. Success isn’t about finding the best path. It’s about narrowing the field enough for action to compound. Get married to your vision, your purpose, your goals, and make that choice day after day after day. The path may twist and turn, but keep making that same choice and you’ll reach the destination eventually.

People think they need motivation to act. Most of the time, they need... arousal. Not panic. Not stress. That edge-of-the-cliff alertness where reality feels real. Action follows engagement, not comfort.

Smart people don’t fail because they lack discipline. They fail because they lack clarity. When direction is fuzzy, every action feels expensive. Every decision feels risky. So you think more. You wait. You optimize. • From the outside, it looks like procrastination. • From the inside, it feels like self-protection. I’ve worked with people who could out-think almost anyone and still couldn’t move in time. (Myself too lol) Not because they were lazy. But because acting without clarity felt like gambling with their identity. Clarity is about alignment. It’s removing internal conflict. Once the “why,” the identity, and the path are clear… Action stops feeling heroic. It starts feeling obvious.

Huge essay just dropped: actionsmithing.com/p/from-ga… Grab a nice Christmas hot drink and enjoy. There's a lot to ponder from it.

You always wake up with a surge of super-chemicals. Cortisol spikes. Noradrenaline floods. Serotonin swells. If you want to take maximum action every day, use them. Don't roll over and snooze for 30 minutes. Don't make up excuses. Rise up. Even if it's early, cold, or scary. Rise especially then. In the most difficult conditions. Face the hardest obstacle, like a warrior, first thing after waking up. Your body is stressed and activated anyway. You just have to act upon it. Act faster.

Write like a human who acts. Not an expert who observes. Action creates credibility. Language only reflects it.
22
Vague goals create vague action. Clear language forces commitment. Say what you mean. Do what you say.
