17-year-old Romany Emad made the final cut.
Out of 300 kids chasing a spot at Ghazl El Mahalla Club in Tanta, Egypt, he survived every round-down to 10, then 8, then the top 5.
The coach watched him play, liked what he saw, and told him he was in.
Then the coach asked his name.
“Romany.”
The room changed.
Someone asked if he was Christian. He said yes.
Next practice the same coach told him there was suddenly “no room.”
Same player. Same skills. Same tryout.
Only difference: he wouldn’t hide his faith in Jesus.
This is how it starts. Crush the dream early so the next kid learns to stay quiet.
Egypt has produced almost no Christian players at the highest levels of football in a century.

How many more Coptic Christian girls in Egypt ✝️ must be abducted, forced to convert, and forced to marry against their will before the world stops scrolling?
How many of our sisters in Christ must lose their innocence and their lives before we help?
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi do your job. Protect ALL citizens.
There is a silent epidemic in Egypt: Coptic Christian girls are being kidnapped and forced into Islam.
And the fix is simple. In Egypt, religion is on your National ID. Changing it should require safeguards to prove it is NOT forced.
A 2-3 step verification that's it it's not that hard :
*#1 — Family Present.* The person must come IN PERSON with their blood family to change their religion on their ID, to confirm she is not being coerced.
*#2 — Church Confirmation.* Her church leaders must sign off that this is truly her free decision. No one is killed for leaving Christianity.
*#3 — If She Is Being Forced, Protect Her.* Treat her as if she were your own daughter.
That's it. It's that simple.
We are all somebody's child.
At what point will Egypt draw the line and say human dignity in Egypt does not depend on religion?
People just want to be safe. To live safely, work safely, raise their families safely, and worship freely.
Why does it make some people angry that a minority just wants equality?
Does equality not equal peace?

What we know so far is Talarico supporters are targeting attendees at these events and falsely reporting them to campaign staff as being paid agitators. Ken Paxton himself had no idea this was happening. Expect a formal response from the AG soon.
