Yea, countless broken and disappointing titles, franchises being run into the ground, abhorrent monetization, all because of…white supremacy.

I'd obviously prefer if Halo just stopped. However, that's not going to happen. The way I see it, Activision's best move at this point, given that Halo's selling power and reputation is kinda in the dumpster thanks to 15 years of 343... Total Halo series reboot. Master Chief as we know him is a legendary icon of gaming history and as far as I'm concerned his story ended when he went back in cryosleep at the end of Halo 3. The new Chief should follow the archetype but be distinct aesthetically to avoid confusion and retain distinction. Keep the vague blueprint of what happens in the games' storyline but be bold with a total Halo restart while making it clear you are not trying to replace the original. "We can't make them like Bungie" and all that. This way you don't mess with the current continuity and you leave it "safe". It lets you try and do very new things while separating your own version from the original. Do not make a flaccid, cowardly Remake like Campaign Evolved, either. Games need to release every two or three years to keep momentum. Each game needs to be feature complete on launch. Campaign (with scoring), Multiplayer (with Team Slayer, shockingly this must be stressed), Firefight, Theater, Forge, it needs to be a full Halo experience when people buy it up front. Also, don't hire a bunch of people who hate Halo, psycho lefty weirdos, don't fill it with a hundred different disability/African/pansexual pride events and skins, developers from other failed projects, etc. From the outset you absolutely must make sure that the people you put in the foundation of this project are people invested in restoring Halo's good name. ...and that's just where I'd START. They have a huge task ahead of them to bring Halo back from being a sad joke. I doubt they can do it, but we'll see what we get when it happens.

These simpletons cannot fathom that despising Company B for their terrible products that denigrate a franchise does not mean we are obliged to enjoy Company C's attempt. 343 sucked balls. Activision will probably suck as well, but 343 didn't deserve half the chances they got. I'll gladly celebrate their annihilation.
