Dreading the upcoming trip to Bangalore, where I need to take my father for a check up.
The drops and pickups from the airport suffocates me.
I was literally looking for RV / campers yesterday so that I could at least make use of the time working / meeting on the commute.
Last night, 2 hrs 15 mins from Indiranagar to the airport. All because of a little rain.
Had given up on making it to the flight. Blaming politicians in my head. Wondering how we ever expect world-class talent to move here.
But then only 9 mins from the entry to the departure gate. Thanks to DigiYatra and good airport ops.
Yet another day of life made bearable by world-class digital infra in a city with third-rate physical infra.
Bangalore disappoints both the optimist and the pessimist.
Near Akansha More Metro st there is a deep pothole on the Biswa Bangla Sarani (going toward the airport side).
It’s not easily visible even during the day!Since car ply quite fast on this road, it can cause a major accident. @arjunsinghWB @wbtraffichq
Kindly fix it.
So this video is a demonstration of what happens in an ADHD brain when you ask a stupid why question. Expect this happens in an instant and mostly after a few decades you give up on answering because most people don't think this way.
A BBC interviewer asked a Nobel physicist the simplest question in the world: why do two magnets push each other apart. He refused to answer it. What he did instead is the best seven minutes on thinking ever filmed.
The man is Richard Feynman, at home in 1983, no blackboard, no notes, sitting in an armchair.
He does not dodge because he cannot answer. He dodges because he wants you to see what the question is actually asking. So he takes an ordinary sentence, that a woman slipped on the ice and broke her hip, and starts asking why, and every answer opens another why, until the ground gives way.
Then he turns it around on the interviewer with a question about ice that sounds trivial and is not.
The point he arrives at is the uncomfortable one. Every explanation is only a translation into something you already accept without explanation. Magnets have no such translation. There is nothing more familiar than magnetism to reduce magnetism to, which is why every answer you were given at school was a picture, not a reason.
It matters more now than it did in 1983. Any tool will hand you a fluent answer in a second. Knowing which questions actually have a bottom is the part that is still yours.
One question. Seven minutes. It is in the video.
😂😂
Fable 5 is absolutely unreal. I gave it a startup idea, and in 8 hours it interviewed 100 users, built the v1, raised a 200 million seed round from a16z, blew the entire seed round on expensive GTM hires and slop ad campaigns that didn't convert, panicked and raised a down round, fired their entire leadership team, pivoted twice and then ultimately shut down the startup
I tend to agree with Indira Nooyi. She might not have become a CEO in India. In fact, most Indians abroad would be less successful in India purely because they would be out-skilled and out-worked.
Felt quite proud to see him. I remember when I was in class 10th, I wanted to be a mechanical engineer, so that I could go work at the Ferrari garage.
Verstappen treats Hamilton with the latter’s medicine, but only better, cleaner and more effectively.

WARNING to all @Microsoft Teams users:
Just noticed what appears to be a serious bug.
In a 1-on-1 chat with my COO, I’m seeing msgs from several other team members appear in the same thread.
Had I not caught it, I could’ve shared confidential information assuming ‘‘twas prvt.
