Apparently “Dr” and “woman” do not match on British airways. Looking forward to their reply.

Hey Twitter 👋. It's been a while. Crazy busy but rewarding few months engaging with @gidchester Industry Advisory Group, presenting to @MMUGeog students on my GIS work with Jacobs, Sellafield and the NDA plus trying to add all that to an @RGS_IBG chartership application! 🤹‍♀️

It's been very enjoyable engaging with the #highered sector on opportunities for curriculum enhancement to boost student skills and discuss potential opportunities post degree. Halloween seemed the most appropriate time to resurface and show how my ghost still haunts HE 👻🎃😂
Setting up a new research group & thinking about how we can actively protect the wellbeing of the team, nurture creativity and encourage thinking big...any resources for inspiration? What does your lab/group do? Please RT #newPI @AcademicChatter #AcademicTwitter #positivity

I always saw myself as a bit of a #failure in #academia. Something which distance has helped. 1 big thing was my lack of publications from my #PhD. More in a post on my #LinkedIn but I'm proud to share with you all my now publicly available #thesis 😊: e-space.mmu.ac.uk/621437/

I'm trying to be space conscious when moving and have decided to pass on part of my large collection of academic books. If any of these take your fancy before eBay snaps them up let me know! You'd only need to pay postage 😊❤📚 #KnowledgeIsPower #geography

The new IPCC report contains no real surprises. It confirms what we already know from thousands previous studies and reports - that we are in an emergency. It’s a solid (but cautious) summary of the current best available science. 1/2

Thank you @DawnButlerBrent. We have NOT severed the link between infection and hospitalisation. Of the many lies that the PM has told the British public, this is one of the most dangerous -- a genuine threat to public health. I hope your colleagues follow your lead. #TellTheTruth

Adastin; City of the Future🏙️. A guilty pleasure of mine is putting geographical theories to the test, especially in the wonderful @CitiesSkylines. I've previously explored formats like concentric zoning and the Hoyt model #geogrpahyingames #citystudies #SmartPlaces (1/3) 👇

This weekend (post new DLC purchase) I feel it's finally time to explore #citiesofthefuture based on the excellent @NatGeo edition 'Cities' - attempting to build a sustainable future city based on all the principles presented in this article nationalgeographic.com/magaz… (2/3)

I will be playing in #sandbox mode, and I've used a #DnD name generator to name my city Adastin. Welcome to my TedTalk 'In Game Geographies: Cities of the Future'😂. I'll keep you posted. I pray this simulation is more successful than previous models. #21stcenturygeography (3/3)

A year and a half ago I made a difficult decision to step away from #Academia. For all that is brutal/wrong with the system, the people are beyond wonderful and deserve so much more than this. My heart goes out to all former colleagues @uochester - make your voices heard 📣
This year, staff have gone above and beyond to support students and adapt to teaching in a pandemic. Now the University of Chester has issued a notice of 86 potential redundancies.
