Hello all! I rarely post to X/Twitter anymore but I met many people on this platform via TweetMeets. The pandemic put an end to TweetMeets and I just never rekindled the desire to start them back up. However, I am starting something new: Silent Book Club Omaha!
How it works:
6:30pm - 7pm: Arrive, socialize, order a drink/snack/meal, get comfortable
7pm - 8pm:1 hour of silent reading
8 - 8:30pm: Socialize, read, and goodbyes (optional)
In many ways, it reminds me of TweetMeets in that it brings people together over a common bond - this time the bond is book instead of Twitter.
