USAA fired all of its American workers and replaced them with H1B’s, and now a bunch of people had all of their money vanish.

If you bank with @USAA, don't be surprised if your accounts are empty or inaccessible right now. Apparently they're experiencing some kind of catastrophic IT meltdown. Never seen anything like this in the 35 years I've been a member

The inheritance tax that Vivek Ramaswammy wants to implement on the people of Ohio will start at 59% minimum.
I actually didn’t know this. Vivek wants to impose a high “inheritance tax”. I’m in farming so I know all about this and it’s evil as shit. When a farmer dies and passes his land and business that have been in the family for generations down to his children the government steps in and takes a big chunk. Didn’t think it was possible but I hate Vivek even more now

I am committed to cutting taxes for Ohioans, including our farmers, and making it easier for Ohio farmers to pass their land down and keep the family business going. My opponent? He says any inheritance tax should be “very high” and claims it will help return Ohio to a “merit-based culture of excellence”, making it even harder to keep farms in the family. I will always stand up for Ohio’s farmers. huffpost.com/entry/oops-trum…

Update: Major-General Wade Rutland just told reporters that range control knew about the fire on the base for several hours. "It was decided that that could carry on for a certain amount of time," he said. Rutland said the military has an incredibly regimented and robust safety plan for all scenarios. He added that at one point, the fire swept quickly through to the area where the section attack was happening, but noted the grenade range was not affected. "The fire was a kilometre away when the wind shifted," Rutland said. "It is not normal for a fire to move a kilometre in 30 to 60 seconds. "I spoke to my commander on the ground last night and this morning, and he said within 30 seconds to a minute they saw no fire, and then there was a fire right on top of them." Rutland said how or if the fire might have spread without being noticed by those on the ground will be part of an investigation
UPDATE: Official reports are limited but it is not looking good. Additional reports from CFB Wainwright suggest a Carl Gustaf (Carl G) 84 mm anti tank round may have struck a natural gas/pipeline during a live fire training exercise. According to local accounts, the impact ignited a fire that intensified as winds picked up, spreading toward a munitions storage shed and reportedly triggering secondary detonations. 1. Casualties are reportedly in the hundreds, with earlier accounts suggesting at least 100 affected. Official figures remain unavailable. 2. Regional hospitals are reportedly operating under Code Orange, a mass casualty emergency protocol. The extent of these activations remains unconfirmed. 3. Two flights involving C-FSUG, a civilian Beechcraft King Air B200 operated by Alberta Central Airways and previously associated with Alberta Health Services medical transport, reportedly landed tonight. The aircraft typically accommodates 6 to 8 passengers plus crew. Its possible involvement in casualty evacuations remains unconfirmed. 4. Authorities have confirmed 7 fatalities and many injuries, while the specific cause, casualty figures, hospital alerts and secondary detonations await independent verification.

How the fuck do you have an active natural gas well down range on your fucking ARTILLERY range
A catastrophic blast at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright, Alberta has reportedly resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries during a live fire military training operation. According to local sources on base, Canadian Forces personnel had been conducting exercises over several days when an artillery projectile reportedly struck an active natural gas well on the bombing range, triggering a massive detonation. The blast is said to have levelled nearby tactical training buildings, with subsequent fires reaching munitions storage and setting off secondary detonations across the range. The geography and infrastructure; ➟ CFB Wainwright has a documented history of natural gas production, with approximately 180 wells reported on the military property in 2014. ➟ Military range maps identify munitions storage, pipelines and designated live fire danger areas near Peterson Pond. ➟ NASA FIRMS satellite imagery recorded multiple thermal hotspots between Peterson Pond and Jamieson Lake on October 17. Local accounts also describe hospitals activating Code Orange protocols, mobilizing stretchers and preparing for a significant influx of casualties. The reported gas well strike, secondary detonations and hospital emergency measures remain unconfirmed as authorities investigate the incident. Should these reports be confirmed, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved and affected.

🚨 UPDATE: Canadian Army Range Officer, Major Vijanyagar Singh, has confirmed that the artillery shell PFC Gupta fired was carried by the dry 70 mph winds to a natural gas well adjacent to the ammo depot, where 300 troops were being housed.
