Before you close your eyes tonight, think of Ukraine. We’re exhausted. We’re frightened. We’re carrying more than anyone should. But we’re still here. And this is still our home.

In today’s Vatnik Soup, we introduce Iuliia Mendel, a Ukrainian journalist and press secretary. She’s best known for serving as Zelenskyy’s spokesperson during the early years of his presidency and then, years later, turning into a Kremlin-aligned, fierce critic of him. 1/25

❗️The Third Army Corps has completed the four-month Operation “Vivaldi” on the Lyman direction, liberating 277 km² of territory and clearing several hundred more square kilometers of Russian infiltration. According to Andriy Biletskyi, commander of the “Center” troops grouping, Russian losses amounted to over 8,000 killed and wounded, 270 prisoners, and around 3,800 pieces of equipment. The main result was the disruption of Russian plans for a further offensive toward Sviatohirsk, Borova, and Barvinkove.

Republican congressman/senators are quickly starting to speak out against the U.S. President’s gutting of the Russia sanctions bill… I believe this reflects panic. Most Americans support Ukraine and the president’s recent actions are putting Republicans in jeopardy 🤯

Due to a lack of female supporters, Brazilian presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro has resorted to using AI to transform middle-aged men into attractive young women. This AI-generated creation has been dubbed the "Bolsonaro Bombshell."

🇺🇦 THREE GENERALS. THREE ERAS OF UKRAINE'S RESISTANCE. The history of Ukraine's modern Armed Forces shows how military leadership has evolved alongside the war itself. Three commanders — Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Oleksandr Syrskyi, and Mykhailo Drapatyi — represent different approaches to defending Ukraine. Valerii Zaluzhnyi The general whose name will forever be associated with the most difficult early months of Russia's full-scale invasion. Under his leadership, Ukraine defended Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy, launched the successful Kharkiv counteroffensive, and liberated the western bank of the Kherson region. His leadership emphasized flexibility, decentralized decision-making, and NATO standards. Oleksandr Syrskyi An experienced commander who played a central role in defending Kyiv, planning the Kharkiv counteroffensive, and leading the prolonged defense of Bakhmut. As Commander-in-Chief, he focused on restructuring the Armed Forces, improving resource allocation, and integrating modern technologies into battlefield operations. Mykhailo Drapatyi A general of a new generation, known for his courage since 2014, when he led a breakthrough in Mariupol and helped withdraw Ukrainian troops from encirclement near Izvaryne. During the full-scale invasion, he demonstrated his abilities in crisis management, particularly in defending northern Kharkiv. His reported appointment as Commander-in-Chief reflects the growing demand for leaders with direct combat experience, a commitment to saving soldiers' lives, and a focus on better military training. Three commanders, three different approaches, and one common mission: defending Ukraine's freedom and independence. Each has faced extraordinary challenges and demonstrated the determination of Ukraine's military leadership. Thank you for your service to Ukraine. Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! 🇺🇦

I donated a sum of $112 to Ukrainian volunteers today, which is a lot on my day job salary. Given I'm forced to pay taxes that are now helping russia, I feel like it's not enough. Every dollar helps. Yet, I feel like I need to do more, especially since I'm American. 😞

This administration is complicit in these murders. russia did it but US prevented Ukraine from defending itself.
With Trump's removal of Starlink, Russians are now hunting cars full of people in Kyiv, using jet drones for which Ukraine's interceptors no longer function to stop. Three people murdered an hour ago in southern Kyiv, with six others injured, three of which are children.

Ukrainians have taken three #Yakuts - #Russian military personnel-prisoners The distance from their homeland of Yakutia to #Ukraine is approximately 7,000 km, yet the Moscow empire sent these three Yakuts to kill #Ukrainians on #Ukrainian soil. Each of these Yakuts has been so thoroughly assimilated by Moscow that they bear a Slavic first name or a Russian surname—names that are not their own. #Yakutia is a land extremely rich in natural resources, such as diamonds and oil, all of which are siphoned off by #Moscow. But these three idiots likely don't even know that...
