METRO 2039 will require an initial download as the game does not fit fully on one disc. To make sure our community gets to experience the game at the same time, you will need an internet connection initially to unlock the game. The game does not otherwise require internet.

Always weird when people argue the few โฌ for additional discs prevent proper physical releases. Just pass it on the consumer like Nintendo does. Their games are notoriously more expensive and less likely to drop in price. Yet they have the highest physical split of all platforms.

The same bullshit excuse Gothic Remake used, except that would have fit on the disc. Why not use two? Why not just align shipping with the digital release date? Not like it is rocket science to make this work without shafting the end user.
