The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life. This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.  Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

An MIT professor offered his class a coin flip: win $125 or lose $100. Most students said no. Then he proved refusing was the smart move, and it explains why you're bad with money. The bet is a steal on paper. Flip a coin, win $125 or lose $100. Do the math and you come out $12.50 ahead on average. It's what economists call a more than fair bet. Most of the room still turned it down. They weren't being dumb. They were being human. Here's the idea underneath it. You don't actually care about dollars, you care about how much each dollar changes your life. And the dollars you already have are worth more to you than the ones you might win. So losing $100 stings harder than winning $125 feels good. Then he pushed it further. He told the class he'd force them into that winning bet unless they paid to walk away. How much would they pay? The answer, with their standard math, was $43. People will hand over almost half their money to dodge a bet that's tilted in their favor. That's not weakness. That's a law of how the mind values risk, and it has a name: risk aversion. And it's the whole reason insurance exists. Being uninsured is just this coin flip in disguise. You quietly pay to never be the person who gets wiped out, even when the math says the odds are on your side. Once you see it, you notice it everywhere. Every warranty, every premium, every bet you've refused. You weren't being irrational. You were pricing the fear.

If you left an empty seat for each person you’ve killed in Gaza, the stadium would be empty.
85 empty seats. This Sunday, millions of fans will gather to cheer for their national teams in the FIFA World Cup Final. But 85 voices from Argentina will be missing. They belong to the victims of the 1994 AMIA terrorist bombing in Buenos Aires, an attack planned by the Iranian regime and carried out by Hezbollah. Behind every terrorist attack are lives stolen and futures cut short. We remember. We stand against terror. Always.

This video - probably more than any other - illustrates the extent to which Israel's regional strategy has resulted in strategic defeat. I mean: they had one big enemy - Iran - and one big friend - the US - and these two are now negotiating a deal, while Israel is being told it's an inconvenience that be should be replaced by a former Al Qaeda commander, because he's more humane and kills less civilians. If that's not strategic defeat, I don't know what is.
BREAKING: President Trump publicly rebukes Israel over its war against Hezbollah. "Israel's fighting Hezbollah too long and too many people are being killed." Trump said he opposed strikes that destroy apartment buildings filled with civilians and revealed he urged Israel to let Syria take the lead against Hezbollah instead. "If Israel can't do the job without killing everyone else, he'll do the job. Syria will do the job."

🇮🇱 Enough with these caricatures, Minister @gidonsaar. In Belgium, the judiciary is independent and makes its decisions —whether one agrees with them or not— free from any political influence. I recall that the proceedings in question were initiated by representatives of the Jewish community themselves. To portray those as a country’s desire to undermine the religious freedom of Jews is defamatory. This freedom has never been called into question and never will be in our country. Our Constitution protects it. Since you yourself recently urged against conducting diplomacy via Twitter, I suggest that we discuss all these issues during a meeting in Israel at a time that suits you best, in order to put an end to any misinterpretations. @BelgiumMFA
Belgium have just announced the indictment of the three Mohels who were investigated last year in Antwerp. With this act Belgium joins a short and shameful list, together with Ireland, of countries that use criminal law to prosecute Jews for practicing Judaism. This is a scarlet letter on Belgian society. The Brith Mila is the cornerstone of Jewish faith. Many countries in Europe and around the world have created legal frameworks to facilitate the brith and Jewish religion freedom in their countries. I call upon the Belgium government to act immediately and to find a solution.

We completed the investigation at Minab school, so Donald Trump doesn't have to. Triple tap U.S Tomahawk cruise missiles were fired on a busy school day. Many children were still alive after the first strike. As some tried to flee, they were targeted again - this time with teachers and parents too. This can only be described as evil crimes against children and humanity.

Financial Times: Iran has taught Trump that not everyone can be bought 🔹The Financial Times notes that Iran's refusal to accept Trump's offer showed that in the war-torn environment of the Middle East, factors such as "national dignity" and "ideology" have a value that cannot be measured in dollars.

International law is dead in practice—driven by Western double standards on Gaza vs. Ukraine and silence on Israel–U.S. aggression on Iran. Still, credit to President Steinmeier for condemning the violations against Iranians. Those who value the rule of law should also speak up

Today Israel bombed a school turned shelter in Gaza as a wedding was being held. An IOF tank fired on the building with 6 people murdered and dozens injured. Israeli forces then prevented ambulance and civil defence crews from reaching the injured, children amongst them. There is no ceasefire. There is no peace. Just brutal colonial oppression.
