Hard to think of a wilder product unveiling. Not sure how quickly drivers are going to be leaping over each other in traffic, but damn, this was a cool way to introduce Roadster to the world.

The A2 test stand was originally built in the 60s to support Saturn V Upper Stage testing (S-II). It was later reconfigured to be a single engine test stand for Shuttle Main Engine testing and development.
The last Saturn V Stage test occurred October 30, 1970 on A2. It has been 55 years, 11 months, and 17 days since A2 supported stage testing capability.
As of this morning, it is now 0 days.

Mission Control Center Houston reports that the CRS-35 Cargo Dragon spacecraft achieved 'hard capture' as of 10:38 a.m. EDT (1438 UTC).
"Houston, station, we copy our tasks are complete. Thanks for another great trip up. On behalf of the crew here, a very special thanks to the teams at NASA and SpaceX for getting this vehicle onboard," said CSA astronaut Joshua Kutryk.
"It's going to facilitate station ops, let us use this wonderful machine, called the space station, to further our joint aims of exploration, helping us to go further to the Moon and someday beyond. From the station crew, signing off. Bye for now, thanks everyone."
"And Houston copies all. Great words, we concur. Great work today for all of you up there. Appreciate your help as we docked this Cargo Dragon to the ISS. And then, lastly, just want to give one more 'Happy birthday' to Anil," replied CAPCOM Joe Fronczek.
"Thanks, Joe, and everyone down there. I appreciate it. I couldn't think of a better birthday present, actually," said NASA astronaut Anil Menon, who turned 50 years old today.
"And as someone who worked both in MCC and at SpaceX, I know all the hard work that these huge teams put into making something like this happen. And so, we need to make the most of it and push all of us forward, as Josh said, and I'm going to have a great birthday."
"Thanks, Anil. Good words," Fronczek said.
