Four people, including children ages 5, 8, and 11, and a teacher, were killed Thursday in a shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon.
The 16-year-old suspected shooter also died after a community member who saw him enter the school pursued and shot him inside, Bend Police Chief Mike Cranston said.

Local police said Thursday the suspected shooter at an elementary school in the northwestern state of #Oregon was a local 16-year-old boy. Bend Police Department Chief Mike Krantz told reporters they identified the suspect as a 16-year-old Bend resident, adding that the suspect had been shot by a community member who had seen the suspect enter the school and pursued him into the school and engaged him.
