Yes, we can run Doom on the iPhone 11 running Linux! We use the volume up & down for left & right movement and the power button to move forward with double table to fire.
Psst, we just got Linux booting on the iPhone 11!

PocketPC, a portable Linux-based computer. Six years in development and refinement. Everything we ever dreamed of and more. Major project update in the works! We can not wait to share what we have been building in silence.
On every Raspberry Pi ever made, the GPU boots the CPU, not the other way around. The ARM is a guest. Pi 4's only concession was letting USB rent its own apartment (PCIe) instead of crashing on the GPU's couch.
Fantastic work! s3.eurecom.fr/docs/ccs18_cam…

Mass production of the enclosure for Pocket P.C. is underway! We spent this week in the factory monitoring production. Everything is going well! A YouTube video showing the process, machines and factory to be released soon.
This is pretty interesting. The Apple A7 chip is a Package on Package (PoP) chip with the top part being the DRAM and the bottom being the CPU. It looks like this cellphone board reused the DRAM from a PoP chip and connected it to a MediaTek SoC. CC: @hackaday

Special shoutout and thanks to @Icenowy for her amazing reverse engineering efforts done in order to bring SPI NAND Flash boot support to the processor used in Popstick™ and others like it.
Visualizing a physical product before you manufacture it is critical to ensure that it will work as expected the first time. In this render, we found a clearance issue that we were able to quickly correct before production of initial Micropop prototypes.

In November, we hand assembled twenty Pocket PCs to verify all the parts that are used to make a Pocket P.C. are suitable for manufacturing. Here we are resharing the pictures of the process which originally appeared on our Discord in November…..🧵👇
To secure the battery, we put the back cover on by snapping it into place. The back cover is easy to remove without tools should you ever need to replace the battery. With this last step, the assembly is complete!
