The Sound Transit plan includes 116 miles of Light Rail, 46 miles of BRT, and 91 miles of Sounder Commuter Rail. That’s 253 miles of High Capacity Regional Transit. For context, the region has 252 freeway corridor miles.
BTW: This doesn’t even count express bus, local bus, paratransit, and microtransit, including the BRT that’s operating or on the way from our partners @KingCountyMetro, @MyCommTrans, and @PierceTransit.

Congrats to @POTUS, @SecretaryPete, @FTA_DOT and the WA delegation in finalizing an historic investment in America’s infrastructure. The $8.5B in FTA CIG funds along with $10B in transit access funds to affordable housing in the BBB plan will be game-changing for Sound Transit.
