If you hate police killing Black & Brown people here in the U.S., why would you support the military doing the same thing to Black & Brown people abroad?

I woke up today to the sad news of Gamal Nkrumah’s passing, the son of the African revolutionary and Pan-Africanist Kwame Nkrumah, and found myself recalling the details of our last meeting in Cairo. Despite his illness, he continued to follow with keen interest the troubling developments unfolding across our African continent, deeply saddened by the state of its countries and peoples. Yet what stayed with me most was not sorrow alone, but also the hope he held on to during our conversation and his conviction that a new generation could reclaim the project of African unity and liberation. He believed that the flame of Pan-Africanism, carried forward by Nkrumah, Lumumba, Sankara, Nasser, Cabral, and other pioneers of the African struggle for unity and liberation, would never be extinguished. He never lost faith in younger generations’ ability to carry the struggle forward, not by simply reproducing the experiences of the past, but by learning from them, recognizing their mistakes, and overcoming their failures. His vision was of a united and independent Africa, free from domination and exploitation, capable of exercising its sovereignty, controlling its wealth, and shaping the future of its peoples.
Rest in power Gamal Nkrumah 🇬🇭✊🏿

Chicago has lost about a quarter-million of its Black population in the last quarter-century and I feel like not enough people are acting as if this is a huge fucking deal.

FREE THE LAND!
This is the worst thing you can say after taking an edible because as soon as you say this, it activates the THC in the edible & that shit seems to hit harder than if you would’ve never said a thing. Not sure what the science is behind that lmao.

let me save you a few years of confusion:
being able to endure something is not proof that you should keep enduring it. you’re allowed to discern that a situation is not right for you before the wheels fall off.
I woke up this morning to the sounds of the ocean thinking I was already on my vacation but nope, just Mandalay Beach. This is reason number 513 why I’ll never leave Cali. Can’t beat this ☀️ 🏝️
