I don’t measure the area- just eyeball and AP calibre, depending on clinical indications, but always assess distal of retinaculum as well as proximal, can get significant distal bulging which can be missed if not thorough.

Some studies have shown correlation between CTS and CSA or WFR. I see many CTS cases with CSAs still within the "normal" range but notable caliber changes correlating with Sx. See pics attached both normal CSA . Caliber changes more useful than CSA & WFR?! Thoughts?
