We're currently working on #SonicDE 6.8.0, porting the latest #KDE Plasma changes to our #X11-native environment. Expect the first release in the next few days. sonicde.org github.com/Sonic-DE
Today, Reddit deleted @VendefoulWolf’s subreddit after just two posts: a welcome message and an introduction to its #Katana spin. Vendefoul Wolf is an evolving Linux distribution featuring #SonicDE and other #X11 desktop environments.
Care to explain, @Reddit?

Thank you very much for giving #SonicDE a try! We've added the "sonic-switch.sh" for easy installation on #ArchLinux sonicde-arch.github.io. So less typing in your box and more time to enjoy SonicDE. ;-)
Let's install SonicDE on Arch to keep Xorg in Plasma!

#KDE Plasma 6.8 is going #Wayland-only in a few days, so we forked it for you:
#SonicDE, pure #X11, a home for your KDE and Qt6 native apps.
Currently at about 140 components on 6.7.5, soon on 6.8 too. Find the packages for your distribution at sonicde.org
Today we released #SonicDE 6.7.5, compatible with #KDE Plasma 6.7.5. The latest packages are already available for #ArchLinux and #ArtixLinux. More will follow as our third-party maintainers are catching up. We welcome you at sonicde.org and in our chats!
On Aug 24, @VendefoulWolf released a new Viriato alpha, featuring #SonicDE 6.7.2, Linux 7.2.0, OpenRC, and #XLibre.
Their Devuan version focuses on performance, smooth operation, and modern applications. Quote: “Try it to see the full wallpaper!” ;-)

A few days ago we released #SonicDE 6.7.4, compatible with #KDE Plasma 6.7.4. We have up-to-date packages for #Slackware and #VoidLinux, and #ArchLinux packages are ready too. If you’re running another distribution, head over to sonicde.org to see what’s available.
The Slackware maintainer Ricardson @r1w1s1 has created third-party packages for #SonicDE on #Slackware. You can find the installation instructions, SlackBuilds, package status, and more at sonicde-slackware.github.io. A big thank you to Ricardson!

I've put together a dedicated page for SonicDE on Slackware.
It includes installation instructions, SlackBuilds, package status, and project documentation.
If you're interested in trying SonicDE on Slackware, have a look:

Feedback, testing, and contributions are always appreciated.
#SonicDE third-party packages are now available for #VoidLinux. They've been tested on Void itself, #LazyLinux and #NekoVoid. Please see sonicde-void.github.io for how to get them.
We're glad to announce yet another packaging effort. This time it's Karen Sarkissian nerdyslacker.dev creating #SonicDE third-party packages for #VoidLinux. You can find the current work in progress at github.com/sonicde-void/soni… and provide feedback in our chats.
Yesterday we released #SonicDE version 6.7.3, which is compatible with the same #KDE Plasma version 6.7.3. The resulting binary packages have been tested on the newest branch of #ManjaroLinux and #ArtixLinux. Please see sonicde.org for other distributions.
We're happy to announce that the #Slackware Core Team member @r1w1s1 started to create SlackBuilds for #SonicDE. Please check them out at forge.slackware.nl/r1w1s1/so…. You're also welcome to provide feedback in our chats listed at sonicde.org. #SlackwareLinux
#SonicDE third-party packages are now available for #EnterpriseLinux 10-based distributions. They've already been tested on #AlmaLinux and #RHEL and will be on Oracle Linux and Rocky Linux too. Please see sonicde-fedora-el.github.io for how to get them.
Big thank you, @andersrh_rh!

Wait, what? It's Stone Age gray and has a symbol for... Netscape Navigator? Is this even #SonicDE?
Yes! Thanks to the user mesatron, who applied the Commonality Gris and Irixium themes to make new things look older than they are. ;-)
