Sadly, #ClayfaceMovie is plagued by subpar dialogue and what feels like a battle within to settle on a tone. There's some great body horror though, and the film really does lean hard into the violence to warrant its rating. Tom Rhys Harries also brings real humanity to the iconic villain but it's not enough to elevate the film. Not the game changing facelift you'd expect for the world of comic book movies, that's for sure.
