There is much to celebrate this week, but I want to call specific attention to historic gains Democratic women made in representation:
- For the first time in history, over 100 Democratic women will serve in the U.S. House.
- At least 16 Democratic women will serve in the Senate.
- At least 14 Democratic women will serve as governors, a record high.
- A record of 2,600 Democratic women running for seats in state legislatures helped flip 12 majorities and break 11 supermajorities.
- Four states elected their first woman governor: Georgia, Minnesota, Ohio, and Tennessee.
- @KeishaBottoms will be the first Black woman to serve as a governor.
- @DebHaalandNM will be the first Native American woman to serve as a governor.
- @GinaHinojosaTX will be the first Latina to serve as governor of Texas.
- @peggyflanagan will be the first Native American woman to serve in the Senate.
I am beyond excited to see these extraordinary people and public servants tackle accountability, affordability, and our other challenges to make life better for everyone in this country.
Congratulations to everyone who ran: win or lose, fighting for what's right is always worth it.
Thisssss tho. Just ask ME. I have 'em all.
(I'm not gonna read them out loud to you tho, you gotta handle the porny sound effects on your own)

ALT skullmandible tweet: " 'how were people writing 10 page papers before AI???' we were smarter than you. you could've been smart, too. but you sold your brain for nothing."
are we really gonna have to spend this 2-4 weeks playing whack-a-mole on these goddamn Ao3 scraping archives and sending takedown requests?? Bc I'm in a busy season of life rn and I have a lot of things I need to be doing that aren't chasing after ppl with no respect for writers

If you read fic from someone’s shared drive, please keep in mind that the authors won’t see any hits/kudos on their work.
Once the site is back up, make sure to show those authors some love with kudos/comments. We must feed them if we want to eat

I'm now the scheduling manager at one of my two full time jobs and...phew, yes, this. I long for the luxury of being unreachable.
Well we might have to bump this up the TBR now...

I wanted to run the London Marathon but training takes too long and is too hard as a pudgy 47yo woman, so I got an Uber to the finish line. It's not fair that athletic people get to gatekeep long-distance running. I'm still a Marathon runner!
This is what AI 'writers' sound like
