Will you be cutting off funding for the Beacon Coalition? What steps are you taking to actively support El-Sayed, given that you have apparently funded an effort that is currently undermining him?
We strongly disagree with the Beacon Coalition’s endorsement of Rogers. We had no knowledge of these plans and are not funding this work. We have been clear since the end of the Democratic primary and said it repeatedly: we believe El-Sayed must win this race because Donald Trump cannot have another rubber stamp in the Senate. Third Way stands united behind our Senate Democratic nominees. A Democratic Senate majority is an essential check on Trump, and we are counting on El-Sayed to hand Mike Rogers his second defeat.
In Maine, Michigan and Minnesota we are watching the Democratic Establishment’s hand picked candidates lose and then either actively or passively undermine the party and or their nominee. This is an abject failure by the Democratic leadership.

Lon Johnson, the former chair, supported Rep. Haley Stephens over El-Sayed in the August Democratic primary.

several independent bookshops in the North of Ireland including No Alibis in Belfast and Bridge Books (@BridgeBooksDro1) are continuing to source and sell Sally Rooney’s books because they stand on the right side of history and not with the regressive, authoritarian laws and legislation of the British state
they are able to do this because the North has dual access to both UK and EU markets (thanks Brexit) and can order books through Irish distributors (Argosy etc) meaning that they are technically operating outside UK jurisdiction (any revenue made off Sally’s books in this case would be Irish revenue / sales)
so hypothetically, if there was an owner of an independent bookshop in Britain who wants to put two fingers up to the British government and this ridiculous law, you could do what the bookshops here are doing and source Sally’s books through those same Irish distributors…
just a thought…
and sure if you’d like to tag your local bookshop below / share this post, and if they want or need advice or more clarity about this… I know a guy, that’s all I’m saying

Me: "Do you regret [hosting Benjamin Netanyahu at CAP]?"
Neera Tanden: "I wish we did not host him, a hundred percent."
Mehdi: "When did you realize that you shouldn't have hosted him?"
Neera: "I mean, he's been basically acting as a kind of war criminal, so yes, I absolutely regret hosting him."
Mehdi: "Because at the time, Neera, you emailed John Podesta saying Jonathan Lavine at Bain Capital 'is joining our board. So Netanyahu was worth it.' Smiley emoji."
Neera: "I don't remember that."

Mike Rogers second wife worked for Paul Bremer in Iraq.
Rogers divorced his wife in 2007 and married Kristi Clemens in 2010.
After her Iraq job, Kristi launched the U.S. branch of Aegis, a security contractor, which got a billion dollar contract after Mike Rogers became chair of the Intel Committee. Kristi Rogers took credit for it in a now-deleted bio.
Then in 2014, Rogers faced criticism from the right for slow-walking the Benghazi investigation in order to protect his wife and her firm, which was doing work in Libya.
After his divorce, Rogers broke, his disclosures show. His wealth surged as his wife’s company raked in taxpayer money.

Mike Rogers and his campaign have been hammering Abdul El-Sayed in ads and posts over his mother once working decades ago for a Muslim charity based in Missouri, Islamic American Relief Agency (IARA), that was raided in 2004 and shut down, labeled as a terrorist entity by U.S. govt. But his mom was never even accused or charged, let alone found guilty. Ironically, it was a Republican Congressman from Michigan, Rep. Mark Siljander, who was found guilty for helping the same Muslim charity and sentenced to prison. Siljander was later pardoned by Trump.

Allowing a mad billionaire to own starlink is a catastrophe for the free world.
His push for global fascism is fully in partnership with everything Trump and Putin want for the world.
Not much time left to fight it.
❗️Last night, the operation of Starlink terminals in Ukraine was restricted.
Connectivity began to drop when moving at speeds exceeding 160 km/h. As a result, a number of critical missions were disrupted.
SpaceX likely took these measures at the request of the Trump administration. Also last night, when Kyiv was attacked by ballistic missiles, Ukraine did not receive intelligence regarding their launch— a failure that could have led to higher casualties.
Ukraine did not attack Russian oil refineries, yet Trump has already begun imposing sanctions on my country. Meanwhile, sanctions against Russia have been eased.

Women's auto-immune diseases aren't trickier.
But doctors afford women less epistemological authority.
Women are simply considered less trustworthy, even, especially, about themselves.

I don’t think that any Democrat disagrees with any of those three things. And by the way those are the very things that people are thinking when they get home. These are the things that the people really need.
