SCBC's Torpids round-up! ★
To call it eventful would be an understatement. Each crew had their fair share of triumphs and challenges, but we couldn't be prouder of how they pulled through.
HUGE shoutout to all coaches, spectators and fellow crews who were a part of this ❤️🖤
⁺⁎* TORPIDS: DAY ONE *⁎⁺
W1 took two bumps today, but our pride took none ❤️
They're back in the mix of Division 2 and on the trail for a revenge bump against @LincolnBoatClub tomorrow!

M1 rowed over today, leaving our long-standing battle with @LincolnBoatClub on a cliffhanger!
We'll be chasing @bncbc at the top of Division 3 tomorrow 👀

W2 got bumped by @univbc today, so no sandwich boat for us! But don't worry, we'll be after them in Division 4 tomorrow... 🥪
★ IWL D RECAP ★
Somerville tore up the Isis again on Sunday :) WA and MA both ranked an impressive 8th place, out of over 55 boats! That's five places higher than IWL C. You love to see it. 💪
WB battled tough conditions and posted a time of 06:33. We are extremely proud ❤️
Be sure to head over to our Instagram and Facebook today (@someboatclub) as we begin our first in a series of social media takeovers!
Today's "day in the life of a Somerville rower" is brought to you by the legend and captain behind THESE glasses -

★ IWL C RECAP ★
SCBC sent out not one, not two, but three 8s onto the Isis on Sunday!
Both MA and WA ranked at 13th out of 41 crews for the men and women's sides respectively! WB made themselves proud by posting a time of 6:06. Impressive representation for the Ville ❤️🖤

Matriculation day @SomervilleOx so delighted to have a such a brilliant cohort of freshers.
Massive well done to our coach David in coming second in his heat at World Rowing Cup III in Sabaudia! Best of luck in the repechage tomorrow! #smashanddominate
A strong finish from David Ambler, Matthew Aldridge, Samuel Bannister, Samuel Nunn sees them come through the Dutch crew to finish second.
Unfortunately there's only one spot through to the final but they'll get to build on this experience in tomorrow's repechage
