We don’t have to tear somebody else down to build ourselves up. Your success doesn’t take anything away from mine — there’s room for all of us to win. 💯

Every man’s predicament:
• Work more, miss your family.
• Work less, worry about money.
• Put yourself first, feel selfish.
• Put yourself last, feel drained.
• Be strict, you’re too hard.
• Be patient, you’re too soft.
• Rest, feel lazy.
• Keep pushing, burn yourself out.
• Ask for help, feel weak.
• Stay silent, carry it alone.
You wake up to go to war.

Adults:
Within 5-10 years after our kids graduate HS, most will become spouses, homeowners, parents, employees, business owners, etc.
Be careful of making the outcome of youth sporting events bigger than it is. It’s part of their growth. It’s part of their experience. It’s part of their process. That’s really it.
Keep it all in perspective. Breathe, control YOUR emotions and enjoy this temporary phase in THEIR life. It will be over before you know it.

On April 22, 2018, James Shaw Jr. walked into a Waffle House in Antioch, Tennessee, expecting nothing more than breakfast. Minutes later, g*nfire erupted inside the restaurant.
Four people had already lost their lives, and the g*nman was still carrying an AR-15 style rifle. Most people would have run. Shaw made a split-second decision that changed everything.
Unarmed and acting purely on instinct, Shaw charged the g*nman. He grabbed the rifle by its burning hot barrel with his bare hands and fought to take control of the weapon.
His hands were badly burned, but he refused to let go until the rifle was out of the attacker's hands. The g*nman fled, and Shaw's extraordinary courage almost certainly prevented even more innocent people from being k*lled.
The country praised him as a hero, but Shaw never accepted that title.
He said he was simply trying to survive and protect the people around him. Instead of seeking fame, he launched a fundraiser that collected more than $200,000 for the victims' families. He continued speaking about healing, kindness, and supporting communities affected by violence.
Today, the headlines have faded, and many people no longer remember the man who risked everything for complete strangers. But courage like James Shaw Jr.'s should never be forgotten.

White women said black customers bought more food and tipped better. But racist bars got rid of them for broke white country bumpkins who didn’t buy anything.

⭐️ Winners don’t tell everyone else how much they want to win. They prove it to everyday by showing how hard they are willing to work.

When I was in high school, there was another player on my team.
He was one of the best players.
(He's on the left in this pic below)
So was I.
Half the team thought he was better than me.
The other half thought I was better than him.
We weren't best friends.
But we pushed each other every single day.
If I backhanded a ground ball...
He backhanded one.
If I barehanded a ball...
He did too.
If I benched 225...
He wanted 230.
If he beat me...
I wanted to beat him.
We weren't trying to tear each other down.
We were forcing each other to become better.
Years later...
He was drafted out of high school.
I went to UCLA and eventually got drafted.
Looking back, I realized something.
Iron sharpens iron.
Sometimes the greatest gift you can have isn't another coach.
It's someone who's chasing the same dream as you.
Someone who refuses to let you coast.
Someone who raises your standard just by showing up.
That's why I'm creating Iron Partners for the players I coach.
I'll pair players together so they can challenge each other, encourage each other, and push each other to become the best version of themselves.
Because competition doesn't always create enemies.
Sometimes...
It creates excellence.
Thank you for reading.

Hitting has declined not from pitching, but from unnatural “styles” taught built upon coaches theory/ interpretation. Athletes must follow their bodies natural gifts- those are being removed- Reggie Smith & I showed @msween29 why he had succes in his altered stance width
