What's going on with French long-term government bond yields is alarming. There's no other way to say it. This requires a major revamp of fiscal policy and debt consolidation, but the country is politically paralyzed ahead of next year's elections...

The 10-Minute Money Audit
Take 10 minutes and write down:
Cash
Debt
Monthly income
Fixed expenses
Assets
Net worth
Monthly cash flow
Your biggest money leak
Your biggest concentration
Your next move
The goal is to answer three questions:
Are you financially fragile?
Are you stable?
Or are you actively building wealth?
Then identify the one action that would improve your position the most.
Review it every month.
Small changes repeated consistently can completely change your financial trajectory.
When was the last time you audited your own finances?

A good reminder on how finance still works today… the Central Bank of Netherlands just spent months moving $11B in gold from New York to London.
~70% of it never actually left the ground. It was sold in NYC and repurchased in London. This reminded me of a story from 2013 – Germany took four years (!!) to move 674 tons of gold, worth $36 billion from vaults in Paris and New York.
In the 10+ years between those two stories, crypto went from a $1.5B experiment to a $2.7T asset class + financial infrastructure with real liquidity behind it. What didn't change: central banks (and a lot of the world frankly) still moving value the way they did in the 1940s.
Meanwhile self-driving cars are navigating city traffic, AI has transformed how we work, Starlink gives you internet access from just about anywhere in the world. But the best way to move value isn’t to actually move it? It’s confounding…
This an ideal use case for crypto - storing and then moving value instantly, securely, around the world, at little to no cost. How are people still fighting this?!

The Dutch central bank has transferred approximately 86 metric tons of gold from the U.S. and Canada to the U.K., seeking to shore up its contingency planning amid “increasing geopolitical unrest.”
Just over one quarter of the central bank’s gold reserves held in New York and Ottawa was shifted to London between March and August, the bank said.

America added 162,000 payroll jobs on a base of 159.1 million—0.10%. BLS puts the 90% confidence interval on the monthly change at roughly ±122,000. Yet trillions in assets reprice because economists guessed 56,000. We have turned statistical noise into monetary policy.

The yield on the 10-year Treasury is now 4.78%, the highest since 2007. The high from 2006 was 5.15%. Once that's taken out, the next target is the 1999 high of 6.44%, then the 1994 high of 8.03%. In 1994 the national debt was well under $5 trillion. Now it's over $40 trillion!
