Billions of people are currently surviving in temperatures between 45 and 50C. This is "only" at a 1.5C global increase. At 2C, these regions will become unbearable for long periods of the year. The lack of a coherent plan for this is shocking. #Mitigation is urgent.

Also, I've never understood why this particular kind of politics never took off: like a moderate form of social anarchism that advocates a nightwatchmen state instead of full statelessness. A middle way between anarchism and social democracy.

I think we should ditch the term upper-middle class and replace it with lower-upper class. Because their role in society and the economy is far more of a commanding one than the category of the "middle" would suggest. That top 20% (outside the richest 1%) are the surplus elite.
