Julia Child didn’t need to know the ill effects of seed oil to know it sucked when used for cooking food.
🤩 The original seed oil hater wasn’t RFK, it was Julia Child! 1995: “I don’t eat McDonald’s fries after the nutritionists erroneously took out beef tallow & replaced it with their nutritionist oils” @drcateshanahan @TuckerGoodrich @HHSGov

I will not eat the plastic waste
It’s like they’re trying to trigger the adaptations from Crimes of the Future that allow mutant transhumans to eat plastic waste

Anyone know small and/or family brand cheesemakers making cheese with traditional animal rennet who are selling online as well?
Nine out of ten blocks of cheese in this country are made with an enzyme that used to sit inside a calf's stomach, and now gets grown in a genetically modified microorganism instead. At AcmeAcres.us we've watched this pattern play out across the whole food system: the closer you get to the actual production process, the further it drifts from what people picture when they think "cheese." Here's the loophole. Once that enzyme gets purified, the company argues the finished product isn't technically a GMO anymore, even though the organism that made it was engineered to do it. That's how it slides past the 2016 federal labeling law that would otherwise flag it. The strain doing the work, Aspergillus niger, is capable of producing a compound called ochratoxin A, which the International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies as a possible human carcinogen. Regulators say final testing keeps it below detectable levels in the product. Maybe that's enough. But it's the kind of thing you'd want disclosed, not routed around. This is exactly why we sell beef, pork, lamb, and chicken direct off the ranch. No hidden processing steps, no purification arguments, no wondering what happened between the animal and your plate. Just meat you can trace back to one place. Call or text me at 208-714-0478. Your rancher, Jason Hanley | 208-714-0478
