Today is the day we've been waiting for! Share your eclipse observations on social media using the hashtag #EclipseSoundscapes & your location.
Your observations will help NASA scientists learn more about how eclipses impact life on Earth!

Yay! Data from 2017 to 2020 was fully analyzed by the volunteers in 8 weeks! That's amazing, thank you to all the solar jet hunters out there 😎Now we get to the data from 2021 and there are a lot of movies to look at, a lot of jets to find and to box! -> zooniverse.org/projects/soph…
Over the weekend, the data in "box the jets" was fully analyzed by the solar jet hunters! Amazing!🥳 But we still have > 860 movies to look at in "jet or not". It's the perfect time to join the hunt for solar jets as this is the easiest of both workflows! zooniverse.org/projects/soph…

Today I found this jet, reported by a volunteer on Solar Jet Hunter, to be particularly good-looking! Do you have a favorite jet? Come find out by joining the hunt for solar jets on zooniverse.org/projects/soph… 😎

Two years already since the first launch of Solar Jet Hunter! What an amazing adventure, thank you to all the volunteers that participated in the project so far. You did so great! And let's go hunt solar jets, there is still much data to look at!
Yesterday volunteers started analyzing data from 2019! There is more coming, so we still need YOUR help to find and box solar jets. 🌞 Join the hunt for solar jets on zooniverse.org/projects/soph… 😎 3/3

New project launching today: The Solar Active Region Spotters! Help scientists unravel the Sun’s secrets as you track sprawling magnetic fields that rotate across the Sun and help physicists learn about how these regions act as they age! Join the fun: bit.ly/3ZO7pFi
ALT This ultraviolet imagery of the Sun from the Solar Dynamics Observatory shows an aqua-colored disk on a black background. Solar Active Region 13164 is visible near the lower left limb - what we see as the edge in this two-dimensional representation of a round star. This active region is firing off a hefty flare, which appears whiter and brighter in color than seemingly less-active regions. Smaller flares are visible erupting from the upper left limb and the lower right center. The aqua-colored swirls covering and erupting from the surface of the Sun hint at its dynamic state and give the image a texture that almost appears in-motion. The image is labeled with the date and time: Jan 09, 2023 18:50:42 TAI.

Citizen science: we rely on many people looking at the data to be able to get the "average" or "most popular" answer. It means that it is okay to make mistakes! Are you ready to hunt solar jets? Test yourself with this question today! @SolarJetHunter
What do we see in that event? An interesting question from the Solar Jet Hunter talk board zooniverse.org/projects/soph… - answer the poll in the thread ⬇️ and join the hunt for solar jets to see more of these beautiful eruptive events, and help solar physicists! 1/2

What a dramatic jet... it is only one example of the photogenic and interesting jets found by the solar jet hunters this weekend! Thank you to all the volunteers in the project!
Wow! The amazing volunteers for Solar Jet Hunter are actively hunting for jets and already some subjects are completely analyzed... But 2820 subjects still remain! We need your help😎join the hunt for solar jets! See this nice jet reported by a volunteer this WE @DoNASAScience
