Locals with a prizepool of 7$ dollars and a bagel gets 20 people minimum
1k prizepool you get an A tier minimum from players from every neighboring state in smash no advertisement necessary
I don’t think anyone has said there is a LAN local community already for Brawlhalla. A Smash local would actually get less than 20 attendees like Brawlhalla even with a $1k prizepool if it isn’t advertised in local community discords to reach your target audience and the tournament is public less than a month from the event. Those local regional communities are important and without them it’s impossible for locals to reach their target audience. For Brawlhalla to get a local regional community it takes time and consistency hosting locals and this needs to happen in big regions all around the world. I think it would have already happened if the game wasn’t so difficult for TOs to run events. Would love to hop in a Twitter Space and discuss this or in call one day if you’re ever open to it
