In private, the rhetoric shifts to 'Arabs backstabbed us' or 'Palestinians sold their own land.' Don't give up and be deceived by such claims of being oppositional or left-wing. As a Zizekian, I see that this perspective is even further right than the right-wing itself :)

Despite not wanting to dominate Prof.Kattan's replies, I must inform the speakers that I was blocked by the prof. claiming to 'tolerate opposing views':) When such topics arise, they play the victim while offering minimal support to Palestinian cause to serve their own agenda.

I think if such an 'important' issue is being turned into a pressure point by some so-called 'oppositional' academics—who can't tolerate opposing views— If I were a participant, I'd definitely attend. :) They stay in their comfort zone and curse those who make changes.

Ahaha, important topic, but is this your best argument? What about Bogaziçi's past? Was everything ideal before the faculty? Politics among academics is well-known. Let's discuss broadly rather than just the faculty’s legality, long circumscribed by the academicians themselves :)

1- Nope, all of them are wrong. The Palestinian Authority was not under British Mandate but after the WW-I, Palestine was given under the rule of League of Nations, and LoN assigned Brits do govern the area.
Let's pull ourselves away of academic blindness and to examine cases before us by holistic perspective. This cannot be done only by knowing law but also to learn politics, IR, history, philosophy etc. Science is something which is unknown for others and needs to be discovered.
