RELEVANCE OF GANDHI. It's difficult to imagine that Gandhi is still so relevant and deep rooted, even after 79 years of his assassination. People all over the world seek inspiration from the methods and teachings of the Mahatma, whenever and wherever they have to seek Justice and accountability for themselves or for the society. He has given vision and hope to the poorest, the weakest and the most marginalized to fearlessly stand up and challenge the most powerful and the resourceful, whenever there's authoritarianism, exploitation, violence and injustice. His methods of peaceful protests, inspire people all over the world to bring down regimes and Govt's which are brutal & dictatorial. Despite attempts to demean and create all kinds of false narratives about Gandhi through social media and Bollywood movies, he has just gone deeper into the veins of crores of Indians. The protest by the students at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi is a testament that Gandhi cannot be killed by motivated narratives and falsehoods. STORY:- This picture and many others will find themselves in the history books, whenever the ongoing protest by the students will be written about. The girl who went viral for blocking a police van in Mumbai is Rhiya Ahir, a 27-year-old actor, model, and entrepreneur. She confronted the vehicle during a student demonstration near Shivaji Park in Dadar to secure the release of detained protesters. Ahir stepped in front of the police van amid a heavy downpour, spreading her arms to prevent it from driving away with students who had been detained. Her action—which has drawn comparisons to the iconic "Tank Man" photograph—helped rally the crowd, increase public pressure, and eventually led to the release of the detainees. The demonstrations in Mumbai were held in solidarity with the Cockroach Janta Party's protests in Delhi against alleged examination irregularities, such as the NEET paper leak. Ahir stated that although she was not a student herself, she felt compelled to act because she believed the police were not acting responsibly and wanted to protect the citizens. – at Chandigarh, India

Today, we honor Wole Soyinka for his continued fight against military dictatorships, imprisonment, censorship, and corruption through plays, essays, and activism. He insists that freedom of expression is non-negotiable. Born 1934 #OnThisDay

THE ROAD TO RATIFICATION 🚗 The @ilo has adopted #C193 concerning Decent Work in the Platform Economy, but the journey for workers & their unions & organizations continues. Now, the ILO's member countries must ratify the convention and align its laws with these new standards. 💥
