ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر لیفٹیننٹ جنرل احمد شریف: ”حوثیوں کی جانب سے کشیدگی کے حالات میں پاکستان اور سعودی عرب کے درمیان ہر شعبہ میں کوآرڈینیشن موجود ہے، جبکہ عسکری شعبہ میں کوآرڈینیشن دہائیوں سے موجود ہے۔ ہم ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ کوآرڈینیٹ کرتے ہیں، یہ کوآرڈینیشن مکہ الائنس سے بھی پہلے بھی تھی اور جاری رہے گی۔“ ”مکہ ڈیفینس الائنس میں شامل تینوں ممالک کی قیادت بالکل واضح ہے کہ اتحاد کا جارحانہ ارادہ نہیں ہے، یہ خالصتاً دفاعی ہے۔ یہ اقوامِ متحدہ کے چارٹر کے آرٹیکل 51 سے جنم لیتا ہے، جو تمام ممالک کو دفاع کا حق دیتا ہے۔“ ”خطہ میں بدامنی و انتشار پھیلانے والے عناصر کیلئے سخت اور واضح پیغام ہے کہ اگر آپ اِن تینوں ممالک میں سے کسی ایک کے خلاف بھی براہِ راست یا بالواسطہ جنگ چھیڑتے ہیں تو ردعمل اجتماعی ہو گا۔“ ”امید ہے کہ یہ ڈیٹرینس کام کرے گی، اور اگر یہ کام نہیں کرتی تو پھر تینوں ممالک کے پاس موجود تمام ذرائع بروئے کار لاتے ہوئے یہ ڈیٹرینس دوبارہ قائم کرنا پڑے گی۔“

ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر لیفٹیننٹ جنرل احمد شریف چوہدری: ”پاکستان کی جانب سے سیاسی قیادت اور فیلڈ مارشل کے ذریعہ واضح پیغام دیا جا چکا ہے کہ مسلمانوں کو متحد ہونے کی ضرورت ہے، ہمیں آپس میں لڑنے کی ضرورت نہیں۔ تنازعات کو عمودی یا افقی طور پر بڑھانے سے کوئی فائدہ نہیں ہوتا۔“ ”ہمیں مذاکرات کے ذریعہ تنازعہ کے حل تک پہنچنے کی ضرورت ہے، اور اگر ہم اِس میں ناکام رہتے ہیں اور یہ معاملہ ایک فوجی تنازعہ میں بدل جاتا ہے تو پھر اجتماعی دفاعی حکمتِ عملی سامنے آتی ہے۔“
