Exactly right.
We’re now seeing this sequencing happen repeatedly… take mass deportations, or ending asylum, for example.
1) Restore develops a policy, publishes the detail and makes the argument.
2) Reform attacks it.
3) Months later, or in the case of mass deportations and ending asylum, a year later, Reform adopts some version of it, generally watered down somewhat.
That’s fine. Politics should be influenced by good ideas.
But voters should probably ask themselves a fairly simple question: who is actually leading?
To be precise: last night after ten days the Tomlinson twins of trouble arrived.
After ten days of trouble, the Tomlinson twins arrived last night.
This one without fuss. The other's getting some help with her breathing. Thirty-five weeks. Both five pounds. Both beautiful.
My wife is also healthy, but after more than a week of intermittent labour, she needs time to recover. Thanks for all your prayers, well wishes, and concern.

Ed Miliband definitely IS Beaker, but here he looks more like Sam Eagle nitter.cf/Gerashchenko_en/status…
this is very much the truth.
In 50 years time they'll watch old TV shows about Alfred the Great and see African actors as Anglo-Saxon warriors and say "see? they really HAVE been there from the start".
In the past, large numbers of English people *didn't* think that brown players were English.
But such people were suppressed, belittled, shamed and made to shut up by the establishment, and by the time of John Barnes and Ian Wright the establishment had made it almost impossible to express such a view without significant social and legal consequences.
So now the establishment adops a faux-naive tone and says, "Oh, such players have always been accepted by the English people without a problem".
That's right.
If I am ever accused of being racist when I want to prioritise my European race I say "yes, 'racist', that's an excellent name for it, thank you"
An Indian, ie a non-native, unfamiliar with the intricacies of the systems here, would not be able to pull off this kind of fraud without the willing compliance of vast numbers of government workers helping, or "facilitating".
There MUST be more arrests over this.
It is so illuminating that we really are seeing that the rot started all the way back in the Sixties.
Not for nothing do they say "Never trust a hippie".
'Hippie' is just short for 'hypocrite'.
“Sexual liberation” was a classic product of 1960’s youth culture—self-involved and ignorant of human nature. It denied the profound differences between the sexes, including the male and female libido and different emotional responses to coitus. But progressives block any attempt to restore essential norms of sexual prudence and instead layer onto this primal, complicated instinct absurd bureaucratic rules regarding “consent.” Jane Doe is the poster child for the disaster wrought by those self-indulgent adolescents frolicking naked in the mud of Woodstock.
I discuss the Cornell 7 case with @megynkelly:
I hate it when politicians tell me they "get it".
So many things wrong with it, not least that it is incredibly patronising
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.
Hear hear well said
The political class have spent 50 years playing games with the public, playing for time by pretending not to understand what they asked for, that they didn't quite catch that, even as they busy themselves with looting the public coffers and handing out jobs and peerages to their friends.
The rise of young men like Charlie meanwhile is indicative of the frustration that is pent up in Britain; and with it a change in the tone of the discourse.
The charitable public view of the Yookay political class is that it's like an episode of The Thick of It featuring a mixture of the incompetent and the venal battling it out over prestigious positions and sinecures - and that's probably true up to a point.
Charlie's perspective, one that is increasingly pervasive and far less charitable, is that much of Westminster regards the notion of being loyal to Britain or its people as being something to scoff at - far more interested, as they are, in indulging various foreign quarrels that have gone on for millennia.
Britons meanwhile are neglected; always at the back of the queue, useful enough when it comes to paying tax, but apparently lacking in some exotic quality that would merit them being listened to or respected.
Thus there now exists an audience ripe for such messaging, where the denizens of Westminster are essentially viewed - as Charlie says - as irredeemable i.e so far gone, so inflexible and tone deaf, that their intentions may as well be indistinguishable from the criminal.
The Purpose of A System is What it Does.
From unpunished rape gangs to the construction of a cancerous Asylum Industrial Complex that enriches its operators even as it privatises the upsides and socialises the downsides - treating the public like a doormat whose presence in their country represents an imposition on the smooth running of the state - there exist a host of valid grievances for newer, younger operators to capitalise upon.
So you might not agree with Charlie's diagnosis here, perhaps you think he's simply young and misguided, but it is undoubtedly foolish to continue arrogantly dismissing the concerns of Reform and Restore voters.
The question is whether the self-described centrists in politics are still capable of changing, and unfortunately I see no evidence of that - given that they're far more interested in imprisoning dissidents and inventing new speech crimes with which to persecute their opponents.
In the long term we will probably look back fondly at the gentility of men like Rupert Lowe; Charlie and his Generation Zoomer compatriots by contrast give the impression of having run out of patience with the whole charade already.
And who can blame them?
Their futures, the ground beneath their feet, was all sold out from under them before they were old enough to speak. And even now, this late in the day, the centrists could have all their sinecures and playthings if only they instituted firm border control.
But they won't.
So Charlie and the Zoomers it is, and Godspeed to them.
Plague!
And Open Borders!
Terrific planning!
A Russian lab worker has died and thousands are in quarantine after a plague outbreak.
The World Health Organisation says the pneumonic form of plague is especially contagious and "can trigger severe epidemics".

Can we just hang them, please? I can't imagine she'd be able to dangle on the end of a rope for two days
