I watched a video about a female grizzly who adapted to raising her cubs within 100 ft of humans. Experts surmise that she does this because male grizzlies will avoid humans (and male grizzlies are a threat to cubs). So women pick the bear, the bear picked humans and no one picked men. A modern day fable if you will.
