Peter absolutely had a unique role among the apostles. Jesus gave him the keys and Peter was prominent in Acts. The question isn't whether Peter had authority. He clearly did. The question is: What kind of authority does Scripture actually give him?

In the ashes of our nation's chaos, Idolatry, injustice, and unbridled sin. True repentance isn't just words; it's turning back to God with a broken heart. "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matt 3:2) America, it's time to wake up.

DID THE BIBLE CONTAIN HITLER’S NAME BEFORE HE WAS BORN? A published analysis identified Hitler’s Hebrew name in Deuteronomy using every 22nd letter. Was this divine design or a pattern found by chance? What evidence would convince you either way? Let’s discuss. πŸ‘‡

Scripture warns that the problem is in the human heart. Change the country, religion, or political system, & fallen humanity can still turn power into control. Christ doesn’t call us to find the perfect society, but to be transformed from within & to love those who oppose us
You runaway from societal oppression to another. Different continent, different tongues, different religious beliefs, different ethnicities..etc. Same fucking retardation and desire to control the different ones. In Muslim societies we’re called β€œinfidels”. In socialist societies we’re called β€œproblematic” or β€œdangerous”. Just because we’re individualists. Retardation of cowardice knows no bounds.

Jesus builds His Church. Jesus is its foundation. Jesus is the Chief Shepherd. Peter himself remains an elder and servant under Him. That doesn't diminish Peter. It puts Peter where Peter himself puts himself: Under Christ.

Peter mattered. Peter had authority. Peter was prominent. But Scripture consistently points beyond Peter to Christ.
16
But the biblical question remains: Where does Scripture explicitly teach that Peter possessed universal jurisdiction over the entire Church, or that this authority would continue through a particular succession?
12
This matters for both Catholic and Orthodox discussions. Both rightly recognize Peter's importance.

Then Paul says: β€œI withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.” Galatians 2:11 Peter could be publicly corrected. Paul didn't treat Peter as an untouchable authority whose decisions could never be challenged. Peter was an apostle under Christ.
12
Look at Acts 15. Peter speaks first and gives a powerful theological argument. But James then says: β€œWherefore my sentence is...” Acts 15:19 The apostles and elders deliberate together. The scene doesn't read like one man exercising unquestioned supreme authority.
12
Who is the Chief Shepherd? Christ. The biblical picture is: Christ ~ Chief Shepherd and Foundation Apostles & elders ~ servants and shepherds under Him Peter ~ a prominent apostle and elder Peter has real authority, but his authority remains under Christ.
