STATEMENT FROM JACK CAMPBELL My family and I want to sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers, and support we’ve received over the past few days. It means more to us than words can express. I’m incredibly encouraged by the progress I’ve made in such a short period of time. I have full movement in my lower body, and I’m continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body. I know there’s still work ahead, but I remain very optimistic. I’m taking things one day at a time, staying positive, and focusing on getting better. My faith in God has never been stronger. I know He has a plan for me, and I trust in that plan. I know there may be challenges ahead, but with my faith, my family, and so many people in my corner, I know we’ll get through this. I especially want to thank the athletic trainers and medical personnel who responded and cared for me on the field. I know those were difficult moments, and I’m incredibly grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and care you showed me. The way you handled everything and looked after me when I needed it most is something I’ll never forget. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I also can’t say enough about the incredible care I’ve received from the medical team at Henry Ford Hospital and the Detroit Lions medical staff. They’ve been amazing to me and my family throughout this process, and I’m truly grateful for everything they’ve done. To my teammates, coaches, and everyone in the Lions organization, I want you to know how much I love and appreciate you. This team is a family to me, and the way everyone has been there for me means everything. I’m proud to be a Detroit Lion and couldn’t ask to be surrounded by a better group of people. One thing I’ve learned about Detroit is that this city is built on toughness, resilience, and grit. That’s exactly how I’m going to approach this challenge. Please continue to keep me and my family in your prayers. We feel the love, and I can’t thank everyone enough. God is good. My faith is strong. Jack Campbell

I do feel it necessary to say that it felt like Campbell was saying that his family is very positive to the point where they’ll look at anything as a small setback. Not Campbell saying this is a small setback. Of course, we won’t know until we know. With that said, I felt it necessary to share this quote because it is good that his family is in good spirits.

Campbell's quote on Jack Campbell's family: "I got to go see him last night. It was good. It was positive. You know, got to see his parents, talk to his wife, and you know, everybody's in good spirits. And it's about the recovery, and it's a small setback. That's, you know, that's the family. They're, you know, very positive. You know, so that's good in that regard."

Here’s a story for you. We started filming without owning the title and had to do alternates. Taft Broadcasting owned the title Ghostbusters as part of their half-hour sitcom starring Larry Storch and Forrest Tucker (F-Troop) and a gorilla chasing ghosts. I had never heard of it. They didn’t have proton packs or Bill Murray. Columbia paid $500,000 to buy the name, but they really should have paid Dean Martin, from whom I first heard the term. In the film Scared Stiff (1953), he and Jerry Lewis (check out his acrobatic stair descent) are in an old haunted castle, and Lizabeth Scott asks Dean: “Who are you guys?” And Dean answers: “You’ve heard of Trustbusters and Gangbusters, we’re Ghostbusters!” For my research writing the first movie, I watched every single ‘ghost’ comedy ever made. Bowery Boys, Hope and Crosby, Abbot and Costello, Martin and Lewis all did such films. Happy Halloween 2026.

Matt Rhule has 35 wins across the NFL and college since 2019. In that span, he’s made $61 Million. That's $1.74M per win. If Nebraska cuts the check on his $63M buyout, that climbs to $124M total—or $3.54M per win. Build his agent a statue. Nobody has ever built more generational wealth out of one good Baylor season in sports history.

💔 TOM BRADY DELIVERS EMOTIONAL MESSAGE AFTER JACK CAMPBELL’S FRIGHTENING INJURY: “NO GAME IS BIGGER THAN A HUMAN LIFE.” “It’s honestly heartbreaking to see something like this happen. I’ve spent my entire life around football. I’ve experienced the pressure, the physical battles, the celebrations and the disappointments that come with this incredible sport. But moments like what happened to Jack Campbell remind you that none of those things matter when someone’s health is at stake. When I saw Jack go down, my heart sank. You never want to see another player, especially someone so young and talented, experience something so frightening. We compete against each other, we push our bodies to extraordinary limits, and sometimes we forget just how much these athletes sacrifice to entertain millions of people. But Jack is more than a football player. He’s somebody’s son, somebody’s friend, somebody’s teammate and a young man with people who love him deeply. I cannot imagine what his family went through watching that moment unfold. My thoughts are especially with them right now. I also think about his teammates in Detroit. These guys share a locker room, they go through difficult training sessions together, they fight for one another every Sunday and build relationships that last a lifetime. Seeing one of your brothers go down like that is something that stays with you. To Jack, if there’s one thing I want you to understand, it’s this: you don’t owe anybody a comeback story. You don’t owe anybody a timeline. You don’t have to prove how strong you are by rushing back onto a football field. Your health, your family and your future come first. Football will always be here. The stadiums will still be full, the games will continue and the seasons will come and go. But there’s only one Jack Campbell, and nothing is more important than seeing him healthy and surrounded by the people who love him. I’m sending my love, prayers and strength to Jack, his family and the entire Detroit Lions organization. Stay strong, brother. The football community is standing with you. ❤️🙏” — Tom Brady, seven-time Super Bowl champion.

As we wait and hope for an update that Lions LB Jack Campbell has movement in his extremities, it’s another reminder for me to never take for granted what these men do for our entertainment. Jack Campbell is 26. He is married. Their baby boy is 4 months old Tuesday. If you are inclined to pray, send one his way tonight.
