📌You know that Keith Richards is one of the grittiest R&R guitar players of all time. But did you know that in 1989 The Rolling Stones were looking for a venue for a pay-for-view concert, when their manager suggested Atlantic City and a Trump venue?
Richards reaction? "We’re not going to be affiliated with Donald Trump. At all. Screw you."
When he was promised Trump would stay away from the event, he grudgingly relented.
When Trump invariably lied, and didn't stay away from the event, Richards slammed a knife in the table and said, "What the hell? Do I have to go over there and fire him myself? One of us is leaving the building – either him, or us."
Trump left. He was fired.
Richards later confirmed all this in a 2018 interview with the BBC:
"I got out my trusty blade, stuck it in the table and said, 'You have to get rid of this man!'"
"Now America has to get rid of him. Don't say I didn't warn you ..."
