Earlier, I wanted to get the fact out the storm won't be as intense as predicted. I have tweaked a few things in the past hour after evaluating a bit more. Still possible areas south of Boston end up with a more sizeable storm, but obviously not what was thinking this morning.

With a shift south, the storm will not materialize as thought the past couple of days. Will have some updates in the next few hours, but key points are later start tomorrow, no intense hours of snow bands, less accumulation. AM commute may actually be dry.

In general most of the area will see 4-10 inches of snow Tuesday. Some higher totals approaching a foot possible and less on Cape/Islands. Will refine map this afternoon after today's data. #WeatherWisdom

If Joe came out at the SOTU and surprised everyone with something like "Yeah, lots of you are hurting bad, here's 5 ideas for how I want to give financial help to the poorest Americans" it would do WAY more to get people voting than "look at this unemployment chart", I swear.

Weight Watchers isn’t a weight loss club. It’s a fat maintenance club.
If you want a weight loss point system that works, count grams of carbohydrates. You get 20 points per day.

We’ve known since the 19th Century how to reverse type 2 diabetes with diet alone.
How and why was this knowledge lost?
Why did MDs insist on drug therapy instead? Why do they still?
I explain the history & science in my new book, Rethinking Diabetes.

3-days out the projected snowfall can change quite a bit, but here's what I am thinking as of this morning. Upper limit can go higher as new data arrives. As is the case many times coastal areas have the greatest boom/bust potential. #WeatherWisdom #Snowstorm #winter

A gentleman I've been counseling for several years w/ a long history of type 2 diabetes, food addiction, overweight, and struggling mightily to stay on a low-carb diet, agreed to try carnivore in November. "I feel full for the first time in 60 years." #WorldCarnivoreMonth

As a psychiatrist, I became intensely curious about the relationship between food and brain health and began to wonder whether dietary changes might help some of my patients. 🤔
As a middle-aged woman, I became concerned that my strange new mostly-meat diet was going to kill me. 😱 ☠️
Since the diet that restored my health was high in animal protein and animal fat, and contained only small amounts of the few plant foods that didn’t seem to bother me, my head was full of new questions.
Will I get cancer if I don’t eat enough vegetables or fiber?
Are some fruits and vegetables more important than others, or do I need to eat a wide variety for best results?
Which ingredients within red meat make it more dangerous than white meat?
How do cholesterol and saturated fat damage the heart— and do they damage the brain as well?
I needed to get to the bottom of these questions, so I started studying nutrition.🔬
I share what I've learned in my new book, Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind, available for pre-order. #metabolichealth #brainfood

[Potential Storm Sat night into Sun] There is the potential for a strong storm to bring rain and/or accumulating snow to #SNE Sat night into Sun. This is a Day 6 forecast & not set in stone. Precipitation type and amounts remain uncertain, but accumulating snow is a possibility.
