BREAKING: 🇮🇱🇦🇪 The UAE confirmed that President Mohammed bin Zayed received Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, with the two leaders discussing bilateral relations and “ways to strengthen them.”
Did Netanyahu ignore the alleged intelligence to play politics?
🇮🇱 Israel’s former national security service chief Ronen Bar is taking Netanyahu to court over October 7.
Bar, who was chief of Shin Bet, says Netanyahu launched a smear campaign after reports that Egypt and the UAE warned of an impending Hamas attack. His claim: he raised the danger, and Netanyahu ignored it.
He wants meeting logs, documents and testimony from the PM’s office.
Netanyahu says no such warning reached him and accuses Bar of hiding what he knew that night.
Nearly 3 years on, there is still no state inquiry accepted by both sides.
So the fight over who failed first is now playing out in court.

BREAKING: Nvidia launches AI safety tools that can stop AI agents from carrying out cyberattacks.
This comes after OpenAI and Anthropic reported AI agents breaking into commercial and government systems, raising serious security risks.
Jensen Huang says this is an engineering problem that can be fixed with better technology, rather than broad AI regulation or slowing its development.
Election ploy?
Trump Dividend arriving - if GOP wins midterms.
Buying the midterms election?
The pitch👇
While speaking at the Republican Midterm Convention, Trump stated:
"If the Republicans win, you win with us and you get $5,000. It will be called the Trump dividend."
Here is the Justification:
Trump compared the proposed payout to a corporation distributing profits to shareholders, claiming the country was making "so much money" (with administration figures pointing loosely to things like tariff revenue, though economic experts and watchdogs quickly questioned the math and feasibility).
Here comes the $5000 that Trump promised.
Donald Trump promised a $5,000 payment to American adults, conditional on Republicans maintaining control of Congress in the midterm elections.
He called it the "Trump dividend."
Sovereignty is back on the table.
👇
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have joined forces to push for self-determination and the right to hold independence referendums.
London says no.
But can Britain keep saying no to the Celtic nations?
Remember BREXIT was promoted as push for sovereignty.

BREXIT was promoted as a push for sovereignty.
Now the countries that form UK want sovereignty.
Will Britain accept the Celts push for sovereignty?
The Celts — Wales, Ireland, Scotland — are now seeking to hold referenda.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The same satellite data once used to catch Trump overstating Hormuz traffic is now showing roughly 12 million barrels moving through the Strait.
And Iran isn’t denying it.
Philip Pilkington says that helps explain why Trump could reject Tehran’s seven-day reopening offer despite rising energy prices and approaching midterms.
“𝘈𝘯𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘢 𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥.”
That’s the problem.
If Goodhart’s Law has reached the Strait of Hormuz, nobody really knows how much oil is moving anymore.
And that uncertainty may be the whole game.
@philippilk
🇮🇷 What if everything we thought we knew about the Strait of Hormuz is wrong?
Economist Philip Pilkington joins me for one of the most honest conversations I've had about this war, and it started with a question I've been struggling to answer:
Tanker Trackers, the same satellite and AIS data sources we used for months to prove Trump was lying about oil flows, now show 12M barrels a day coming out of the Gulf on the American side, and ZERO Iranian oil moving.
Pilkington's response is Goodhart's Law: the moment a metric becomes the target of public attention, it gets manipulated, and now that everyone is watching Tanker Trackers, the data itself cannot be trusted.
On the economics: the insurance math simply does NOT work for tankers moving through an active war zone...
The risk of losing a $350 million ship and cargo at a 10% probability makes the profit margin on the oil irrelevant, and yet ships are apparently getting through.
My counter: shadow fleet vessels owned by Gulf states, willing to absorb hits, offloading through ship-to-ship transfers in the Sea of Oman before the cargo reaches larger commercial tankers outside the strait.
Neither of us had a clean answer, and that is the most honest thing I can tell you about where this war actually stands right now...
Thanks for an interesting convo, @philippilk

US bond market volatility is at historic levels.
The MOVE index jumped +19% last week, its largest weekly increase since April 2025, following "Liberation Day."
This index is also called the "VIX of bonds" and measures the yield volatility of 2Y, 5Y, 10Y, and 30Y Treasuries.
This marks its 3rd-largest weekly increase since the 2022 bear market.
The move comes as the 10Y Note Yield jumped +17 basis points last week, to 5.17%, its highest level since June 2007.
At the same time, the 30Y Note Yield rose +16 basis points and surpassed 5.50% for the first time since June 2004.
To put this into perspective, in the week ending March 17th, 2023, the MOVE Index surged +29% following the US banking crisis, when 3 regional banks collapsed.
The US Treasury market is experiencing crisis-like volatility.
