If Melee wants to throw the ring into the fire and be finally free, we need to lobby a change to copyright law to insist that publicly playing a video game is not an infringement of copyright. The game publisher should have no right to dictate if people stream video of a game.

We may find Amazon and Google unlikely but powerful allies here, as well as the rest of the combined eSports communities. Since currently (almost) all of Twitch and (gaming) YouTube are illegal on their face. It's willful copyright infringement.

If we really pressed this issue, we could get buy-in from some major tech companies. They won't want to lead the charge, but could be convinced to sign on. Since it's clearly in their significant financial interest.

Looks like we're beefing with Avast, AVG, and maybe more again. Fun. If you're using them, do yourself a favor and uninstall, they're basically malware. Windows defender does a fine job.

I'm going to be playing against @TempoAxe later today! Check out his twitch channel for it. He's going to be testing out all 26 characters this time, in preparation for Mainstage. Iron man vs SmashBot!

It's not 100% finished yet, but the plan is to have all 26 characters and doubles supported for Mainstage. So come to the booth with a friend and get 8-stocked together!

Stacked Artist Alley at #Mainstage 2021? OBVIOUSLY 😤 Make sure to drop by our vendors at Mainstage if you're planning to attend! (if you're not planning to... maybe change that? 🧐) Can't wait to see you all & the cool stuff you bring to the event! ➡️ bts.gg/mainstage

I looked into that Reddit video of a suspicious Fox player named "Sail" that had weirdly robotic movement. Here's my analysis: youtu.be/mwTzNwp4tHY

Top platform is actually super broken. The only thing holding it back is players' sense of shame.
