I recently received an invitation to attend #Zanzibar Research Centre for Socio-Economic and Policy Analysis (ZRCP) Annual conference with the theme "Embracing Technology and Innovation for Catalyzing a Vibrant Startup Ecosystem in Zanzibar."
I was asked to deliver a keynote presentation on "How to turn a dream into reality in the Tanzanian startup context - The @SAGAfrica_ Story and Experience."
In my keynote presentation (attached are some slides), I aimed to provide an overview of the PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE, emphasizing that the time to act is now, not tomorrow.
We are currently in a time where we have more ready infrastructure than ever before, offering this generation a significant advantage to achieve remarkable things. However, there are still final tasks to be completed, which revolve around #SKILLS & #TALENTS.
I believe it is crucial for all stakeholders to collaborate and address this gap. This is why we established @SmartLab255 LEARNING, which provides training not only for startups, but for all stakeholders, including senior corporates, government officials, NGOs, and all development partners. The goal is to equip them with an open-minded approach and the necessary skills to address challenges and embrace change - #UNTILITSDONE ✅

Last night, we hosted yet another memorable and successful #CorporateUnwind event. It is an extension of the Tanzania #DigitalMarketingSummit, specifically for our industry professionals.
I want to express my personal gratitude to all the marketing stakeholders who attended, making the event a truly enriching experience and allowing us to network with new people in the industry.
The most enlightening part of the evening was undoubtedly the panel discussion on #DigitalEconomy: Challenges and Opportunities for the Young', expertly moderated by Mark Bichachi. It was a rich learning experience that provided valuable insights into current industry trends and the role of #GenZ in the industry.
A special thanks to our panellists who made the discussion so enriching:
• Ephraim Balozi Mafuru Director General at Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB), discussed strategies that the #GenZ needs to have to shine in this digital age.
• Prof Emmanuel Chao from the Tanzania Marketing Science Association shared his insights on keeping up with the current learning trend and sharpening marketers' careers through education.
• #NeemaPaul @Neypaul01 from @CloudsMediaLive Group with her insightful #GenZ view of the Digital marketing opportunities and the strategies to grow the fanbase and social media account performance
I would also like to thank Susan Makau MCIM from International School of Advertising for your insightful closing remarks.
Last but not least, a shoutout to @SAGAfrica_ and its #Subsidiary teams, whose hard work and dedication made this event a resounding success.
For those who are eager to keep learning and stay ahead in the marketing industry, I invite you to empower yourselves by subscribing to the @SmartLab255 learning platform here: bit.ly/3xtW6Jt

This is an impressive win for @SmartLab255 and I am delighted to see them recognized at the @asebsummit Africa Startup Ecosystem Builders Summit & Awards(ASEB) 2023!
Since we started #Smartlab our main goal has been to connect #startup and #corporate so they can build something together and grow our ecosystem as most of the corporate organization were left behind and we glad to see now most of them they have started to incorporate innovation and startup partnership as part of their growth.
Congratulations to the entire @SmartLab255 team and partners for this well-deserved recognition! Your commitment to driving positive change in the African #Startup landscape is inspiring.
We are looking forward to more achievements from #SmartLab this year!
