Mmmmm. The Santa suits gotsta go. But straight into Trekkie suits is also a choice.
Oof. This is like when the Raptors got rid of the original purple dinosaur jerseys. Generational fumble. In 20 years, they'll go back to the originals and all the junior lawyers are gonna love the retro look.

“Never again.” When the gravest crimes against humanity are committed, all States have agreed to take action to ensure genocide never happens again. Canada has failed in that duty. I was one of 50 signatories to a letter to PM Carney published today in the Toronto Star.
Our full page plea to PM @MarkJCarney in today's @TorontoStar, begging him to do more to end genocide in Gaza. For there is much more that Canada could & should, in fact is obliged, to do in the face of genocide. And we should have done so months and months ago. Almost two months ago, on June 9th in advance of hosting the G7 Summit, 500+ law professors, lawyers, academics, former ambassadors, and civil society, faith and labour leaders wrote to him. We implored him to take advantage of that leadership opportunity to catalyze G7 action to end the genocide: alexneve.ca/blog/prime-minis… Instead, there was G7 silence. We have yet to have any acknowledgement of our letter from either PM Carney or Minister @AnitaAnandMP, let alone a substantive response to the detailed, concrete recommendations (legal obligations) we presented. Not a single word. That we've had no reply is not okay. But more to the point, that there has still been no meaningful action and only more empty words that are never backed up with consequence, is deplorable. So we've repeated those recommendations. We expect and demand action. We refuse to allow this despicable failure and craven refusal to end genocide to stain our collective national conscience. torontostar.pressreader.com/… (page A5)

Wondering if @RickAlanRoss would have any advice for someone whose witnessed the high control group Landmark Education material taught in a Canadian law school, and now that same material is being pushed by the Dean of that law school and is being acredited by the @LawSocietyLSO

No, she doesn't. This is the problem with Canadian politics -- public believes MP cant decent from Party. You can. MPs cannot set foreign policy, but they can take a stand. There might be consequences, and you might end up independent but inaction still makes you a coward.
Because she must follow govt policy not her own opinion. I read well what your wrote. The Government of Canada must make that determination and NO MP has the right to get ahead of official foreign policy. Again learn how our Westminster system works. Apples & oranges convo. ✌️✌️

Being in my neighbourhood has become triggering for my family. Wherever we go we see signs with the face of the incumbent & @liberal_party candidate @sophiechatel1, who refuses to condemn 🇮🇱’s genocide & the mass murder of my wife’s family in Gaza. A 🧵 #elxn45 #cdnpoli
A big step forward! I’ve officially filed my nomination papers to run as your Liberal candidate in Pontiac-Kitigan Zibi. Thank you for your support, let’s keep the momentum going and continue working together to make a difference.

LET THIS MANS FUTURE CHILDREN READ ABOUT HIS ABUSIVE ASS. No more safe spaces or peace for predators. @tarahtalk questioning the motives or policing HOW IPV survivors come forward harms women. Do Better. Takes a good hard look at who silence protects.
Replying to @thebristern
I say this with concern—I don’t think it’s ever helpful to post deeply personal relationship issues on social media. This man has children, and someday they might see all of this. If you went to the police, let them take it from here. You seem really emotional right now, and that’s understandable, but ask yourself: what do you truly hope to gain from sharing all this publicly—especially about someone you said you blocked?

Was the other 10 reporting Melania? God bless petty revolutionaries.
BREAKING: ICE just announced it is pausing the hotline where people can call to report undocumented immigrants because 90% of the calls are from people reporting Elon Musk.

A beg people who use the term "free market economy" to point to one. Show me a free market economy please.
Replying to @JasmineForUS
Nobody wants anything to be expensive. But, in a free market economy - prices will obtain their min. when there is competition, not government intervention. If there is not competition in a free market it's usually caused by government intervention, and prices remain high - contrary to what most people think. Like in cities with rent control, no builder wants to build where rent control exists.

Remembering when, in a social justice class, a colleague said "I have feelings about the morality of the defence bar" ... while being employed by the Federal government.
To everyone who is just now learning that laws don't matter when those in authority ignore them: Welcome to the life of a criminal defense lawyer.

This tweet is still up?
This is a delicate moment. It’s a new day and yet so many are on edge. Our politics are inflamed, and social media only adds to the anxiety. It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge. In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning. Let’s hope for healing and work toward unity in the months and years ahead.

Wonder if your partner @PearlMedica knows that this is how you speak to people, without hesitation. I also wonder is people in Ottawa who frequent your establishment know ….
Go back to your shit hole @fatimasal82 Not one Canadian wants you or your hateful bunch here. Your kind is a cancer on the world. I say that without hesitation.

Mmmm k Bruce. But that means no more hummus, rice, Taco, or spices for you. And forget Thai food, Chinese food, or anything else delicious. Enjoy your boiled potatoes and grouse.
Canadians are getting fed up.

I think it’s mainly just that those places don’t offer the same variety and diversity of cuisine compared to large cities in North America.
