Children in Gaza are back to school but with tears on their faces. Their schools are old torn tents and they don’t have stationary to start the school year with. Please help: chuffed.org/project/113222-t… We also heard of children bullying each other because some wear the same outfit everyday, and others don’t have bagpacks. Even in genocide, there is inequity. The Sameer Project is collaborating with our partners Small Steps Project (@smallstepsdocs) to provide support to schools that started this week. We will provide stationary, bagpacks, shoes and more. This video was taken on September 15th in Aqsa Camp in Zawayde. The Sameer Project is looking to provide a large tent as well as stationary for the kids. Gaza’s schools are open again 🎉 Support here: chuffed.org/project/113222-t… After a two week delay due to the heat, schools in Gaza are finally open again. The Sameer Project and Small Steps Project (@smallstepsdocs) are providing support to various schools across the Gaza Strip. On September 21st, The Sameer Project gave out 104 stationary sets to children in the Sumood Kindergarten, Beit Lahia. Each set included a ruler, eraser, sharpener, notebooks, colors, pencils and a juice box 🧃 The cost was around $302 with 11% commission. So a set is only $3 and we would like to also provide bagpacks and shoes to schools in Gaza. Can you help us make this happen? In collaboration with our partners at Small Steps Project (@smallstepsdocs), we were able to set up a new large tent and give stationary to the Majd Educational School in Deir El Balah, Gaza. This is a part of The Sameer Project’s back to school campaign: justgiving.com/page/thesamee… On September 21st, The Sameer Project put up a large tent that was given to us by UNICEF and we gave out 100 stationary sets for around $630, including 11% commission. This is one of many schools that we will be supporting thanks to your donations. Give today to our Small Steps link if you’re based in the UK because we’ll get 25% in gift aid: justgiving.com/page/thesamee… Otherwise give to our General Fund today: chuffed.org/project/113222-t… Other ways to donate include: paypal.me/mahertali (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "GENERAL") account.venmo.com/u/Maher-Al… (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "GENERAL")

Reminder: the reason mutual aid groups exist is because so-called humanitarian organizations sit on large amounts of money while Palestinians in Gaza are in need of food, water, medication & so much more!

One of the biggest challenges in Gaza is trash! Support now: chuffed.org/project/113222-t… The municipalities are using temporary landfills for trash that are close to displacement camps. The military occupation designated more than half of Gaza as a “yellow zone” where people get shot if they go near that area. This yellow area is gradually increasing over time. The piles of trash are causing allergies and diseases amongst people in Gaza. In addition, the odors and rat infestations increase due to the piles of trash. On June 6th, the municipality of Gaza City and other groups gathered to help clean the area in unity. Falling apart is a luxury. Not getting out of bed is a luxury. Breaking down is a luxury. Taking a break is a luxury. For single mothers in Gaza, caring for their children in genocide is a full time job with no breaks. Contribute to help vulnerable families: chuffed.org/project/help-us-… Supporting families of Palestinian hostages is something we would love to do more off at The Sameer Project. Mothers are struggling to make ends meet and a simple gesture like a food parcel would mean so much. Solidarity with Palestinian hostages can’t just be by slogans. We need to step up and support their families that are left with nothing. The Sameer Project continues its hostage initiative but we need your material support. Little gifts for the little ones 👶🏽 Our partners at Small Steps Project (@SmallStepsDocs) provided our camps with 27 knitted booties for the babies and toddlers in our camps. 15 were given in Refaat Alareer Camp, 7 in Batoul Camp and 5 in Sawarha Camp. The knitted boots are made in Gaza by a lady in Khan Younis. Supporting local businesses, especially women-led ones, is a main goal at The Sameer Project. So we would like to thank our partners at Small Steps Project for this gorgeous gift that will keep the little feet of babies in our camps warm! Eid shoes and chocolate distributed to children in Gaza, in collaboration with our partners at Small Steps Project! (@SmallStepsDocs) Support: chuffed.org/project/113222-t… On March 18th, The Sameer Project team distributed 100 pairs of shoes to the kids in Ansar Camp 4, Gaza City. Each shoe cost $20.35, including the 11% commission, so the total was $2,035 - paid by Small Steps Project. The chocolate cost $64 with commission. New outfits and shoes are commonly bought for the first day of Eid but unfortunately many parents in Gaza can’t buy that. So your support allowed us to provide Eid shoes with some games and chocolate as well! Insects, rodents, raw sewage, contaminated water, overcrowding, and even wild animals. chuffed.org/project/136892-m…. These are some of the issues that are plaguing camps all over Gaza, but particularly in the dilapidated and destroyed North. And from these conditions arise even more problems…diseases, sicknesses, even viral and bacterial conditions that can lead to death. These Sameer Project believes that by solving some of these root causes of the problems Gaza is facing, then we can prevent more suffering. This is why we now have a medical committee, made up of our doctors and nurses and medical coordinators, that go from camp to camp and assess the situation. We then take this data and make recommendations such as providing more clean water, rebuilding bathrooms, building a trench for sewage water, pest control, cleaning up garbage, and more. Our team will then take action and follow through on what needs to be done. Improving the camp, and stopping the problems, thus preventing more pain. Support our Medical Campaign as we survey Gaza’s most undeserved camps to help.
