Something stinks.

Imagine bragging that 1/4 of your residents cant afford food.
That’s a fail.
Today, the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit will land in the bank accounts of more than 12 million Canadians.
This year, a family of four will receive up to $1,890. That’s real relief to help with everyday costs.

This is what happens when a corporation starts preaching about “Values” while forgetting the fans who actually built them.
I bought Cyberpunk 2077 at launch... unfinished, buggy, and all... because I believed in CD Projekt Red and love the cyberpunk genre. I stuck with them through the mess. But now we’re watching the same studio that preached corporate overreach in their own game engage in the exact behavior they warned us about.
They’re free to push whatever DEI/ESG messaging or Pride initiatives they want. I don’t have to agree with it, and that’s fine. What’s not fine is their PR team having a full meltdown and blocking anyone who dares disagree. That’s not “values” — that’s thin-skinned corporate arrogance. You don’t get to alienate the very audience that rebuilt your reputation after launch.
Johnny Silverhand would be lighting a cigarette, laughing his ass off at the hypocrisy.
I’ve seen this movie before with The Last of Us Part II. The pattern is getting old. Focus on what made you great: deep storytelling, immersive worlds, and great gameplay. Not corporate virtue signaling.

Insta-boycott.
We get what we tolerate.
That is all.
CD Projekt Red posted a Pride statement committing to inclusion and respect for "different experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives." Then their social media team hid critical replies. Then they blocked the gaming analyst who called them out.
One commenter: "Are you a game developer or a political organization? Make a choice."
The regional accounts in Japan, Arabia, and Russia did not update their profile pictures for Pride Month. The commitment stops at market lines.
Meanwhile: Witcher 4 replaces Geralt with Ciri as protagonist. The key developers who built Witcher 3 have already left to form Rebel Wolves.
Do you trust the current CD Projekt Red to deliver?

CD Projekt Red proudly HIDES their DEI inclusivity celebration post in other countries.
Corporate performative BS. They don't believe it or champion it, they think you will buy their games more if they post stuff like that.
They lack the courage of conviction and will hide it when convenient.
But as we've seen time and again, gamers vote with their wallets against this stuff. They see how it ruins games and they are right to be worried that Witcher 4 will be distracted by this BS that has happened so many times before.

> create a franchise centered around a male protagonist
> watch the franchise become a huge success, with the protagonist becoming its most iconic character and building a massive fanbase around the world
> decide to ride the success of that established franchise by creating a new female character to replace the male lead and push a feminist agenda
> completely alienate the original fanbase, tell them the game isn't for them, and then blame them when the new game fails
when will they ever learn?

I really enjoy playing as female characters. I typically pick them when given the opportunity.
But this isn't about that at all. I want to play a God of War game as KRATOS. Not his wife, not even his kid. KRATOS.
And frankly, mythologies are so interesting, I would love a game about a female god (or male, that's fine too). But this isn't even that.
It's a corporate box-ticking exercise and anyone with a brain knows that. Nobody asked for this.

Domino’s UK just roasted the new God of War game, and Santa Monica Studio got mad and responded quickly.
Domino’s UK posted:
“God of War game with no Kratos = Pepperoni Passion with no pepperoni.”
It went viral and Santa Monica Studio got so mad:
“OK thanks for the feedback, Domino's pizza corporate account.”
When a pizza company makes fun of your game, you know something is wrong.

If you haven’t played The Witcher 3, play it.
If you haven’t replayed it in a long time, it’s time for a replay.
This game is still as phenomenal as it was back in 2015, it has aged like fine wine and you are missing out on the greatest RPG ever if you are still avoiding it.
