Gotta give a shout out to Alex Monahan
Was fortunate to see his content on +EV betting when I first started out
Never thought I’d have more profits 😜
The obvious shit that 95% of sports bettors don't do...
1) Use a bet tracker
Dude, if you're down money after 5 years, you're ass... It's time to change/level up. Imagine a trader NOT tracking their p&l 🥴
Yet, for some reason, most bettors don't track anything - it's insane..
2) Use multiple sportsbooks
All books have different odds, different promos, etc. I've used 50+ sportsbooks/DFS apps. MORE = BETTER...
etc etc. I have videos about this stuff: youtube.com/watch?v=WbVO09qS…
I'm not selling you anything - I make ZERO money from this industry. This is just FACTS ‼️
Doing fine on the other days also
Rookie numbers
What would you do if you lost 26 units, over a quarter of your bankroll, in 4 days across 500+ bets?
Happened to me earlier this month.
The first question I asked myself was: "Has anything materially changed?"
I was betting the same leagues and markets. My execution and sizing were consistent. A majority of those bets were still beating the closing line in liquid markets.
That gave me reason to believe the edge was still there.
So what can you do during a downswing?
Stay disciplined. If the underlying evidence still supports that the bets are +EV, keep betting them with proper stake sizing for your current bankroll.
Zoom out.
Here are my month-to-date results:
• 2,159 bets
• $2.8k (28u) profit
• 2.8% ROI
And here are my results since launching RightSide:
• 9,337 bets
• $17.8k (178u) profit
• 3.5% ROI
Bad stretches are inevitable. A drawdown alone doesn't invalidate a sound process.
