Wow! 🌎🦕🦖 Gratulerer @BritLisaSkjelkv @sveinstlen @UniOslo og alle
The first and last time I do fieldwork in 40 degree heat 🥵 but those outcrops 🤩 On fieldwork last month we looked at faults, fractures, salt and seds in the geoparadise that is Utah 🤠⚒️ and of course there was time for some geotourism 😇 too many highlights but heres a few:
Of course no trip to Utah is complete without a slog up the relay ramp to the famous Delicate Arch 🥰 almost had it to ourselves since not many others crazy enough to be out there in that mid afternoon heat 🤪
Teamwork makes the dream work 🥰 so happy I get to work with this super clever bunch 👊 excited to get sifting through the data #TeamNCCS
As promised, a few geological highlights of my past few weeks in the arctic teaching CO2 storage @UNISvalbard 🤓⚒️ But first some nice scenic pictures of the town and university centre because look! 😍🏔🦌 (ok the weather wasn't always this nice 😇)
And to wrap up, how good is this cake made by students for an outreach exercise! 😋 yes obviously the cream is representing a CO2 accumulation in a fault bound trap 😆😆 so happy to have shared this experience with such a great class!! 👏 #geologyrocks
