The world wants to make things

AI modeling is getting good. But a higher value action is using AI in the creation of pre-engineered templates that are reliably manufacturable. This, plugged into an on demand manufacturing system like our print services and API allows customers and agents to either locate or tweak an item they are searching for. The templates become findable but highly customizable. If your AI tool can make "anything" what is its differentiation? The focused tools are more reliable, more findable, and don't require a creative act to discover. youtu.be/HTw6nbUBWdw

We have been adding about 50 3d printersper week The megafarm will likely hold 5k machines before all is said and done. We originally planned for 3k And all of them are for making part on demand for flexible conpanies and agents

The only forms of manufacturing in the future will be ones that work on demand at scale. This is so companies and inventors can iterate super fast rather than wait months for a new batch to hit customers. Molding was never that.

The shipments going out today from the print farm. Your daily reminder that these parts would have taken six months with molding. Some of these were ordered Sunday.

Everyday in a factory you are just working toward being less dumb.

Our sales team is putting typos in emails and pointing them out to prove they are not AI.

The biggest repeated mistake around AI is doing an evaluation, rejecting it and then not redoing it 2-3 months later. Humans assume that it is still the same but it likely has blown past what your original goal was. Check in.

For sure. Just stupid.

We are temporality pausing new signups for Teleport as we work on scaling up systems for our existing users. Should be back up soon.

Despite the stories the AI's have not taken all the jobs.

Back near 2020 we thought that to scale we would drop shipping containers with a couple hundred machines into every city in america to meet the local demand. We found that insufficiently scalable. We likely will never build a print farm under 1000 machines.

There is now FDM design feedback in the instant quote for on the Slant 3d website. Will be working gto get this into the public 3D printing API as soon as possible

Here is your daily reminder why molding sucks. It will never be able to enable this. 3d printing is the only way to create plastics parts on demand in any form.
We are now entering into an era where any product can be created exactly to a consumer's preferences & needs. I vibe-fabricated a dog door with a wifi-controlled lock, perfectly to the specifications & design of my house. I know nothing about metal fabrication or electrical engineering. It's now getting manufactured and delivered in 2 weeks -- for almost the same cost if I bought a mass-produced item off-the-shelf.
