I just want to say, I have been very pessimistic the last few years about the direction this space has been going in. I could not be prouder than I am right now to see how many people have dropped literally everything in their lives to help the people around them, in many cases total strangers. THIS is the energy people need to channel going forward. Bitcoin actually succeeding in the long term requires work, not just shitposting and throwing memes around. Take the same energy and willingness to put in the time and work to help others during this crisis, and hold on to that going forward.

People are being swindled with emotional arguments, not technical solutions Anyone offering a technical counter argument just get personally attacked The great silent majority is not blind This is not the brave-heart moment people make you believe, the market doesn't care

Trump and Musk are aware that their peace plan is failing miserably and was never viable, so they are scapegoating Ukraine for their own shortcomings. Don’t be misled; it is russia, not Ukraine, that is unwilling to pursue peace

BREAKING: Trump now reportedly wants Ukrainian President Zelensky to give up part of Ukraine’s land to Russia, hold elections, and possibly resign in order to receive U.S. aid, per NBC. How about holding Putin to the same standard? How about making Putin give up part of Russia, hold elections without jailing, killing, or poisoning his opponents, and asking him to resign?

JUST IN: New peer reviewed research on Bitcoin Mining & Energy shows strong, varied, environmental benefits arise from Bitcoin mining using wasted, surplus and renewable energy. sciencedirect.com/science/ar… Published in Digital Business, Impact Factor 6.29 (high) Findings: 1. BTC mining can "promote cleaner energy use and reduce the carbon footprint of energy production" 2. By using renewable or stranded sources, Bitcoin mining "creates new business opportunities that align economic incentives with sustainability goals" 3. Bitcoin mining is not "an isolated energy-intensive activity, but as a flexible mechanism that can complement sustainable energy practices" 4. Bitcoin mining "aligns with the circular economy principle of maximizing resource utilization and minimizing waste" 5. Significant limitations were found in first generation studies on Bitcoin mining Previous studies that focused on [Bitcoin's environmental drawbacks] "often show inconsistencies, largely because they rely on two predominant methods for estimating BTC's energy consumption: the Cambridge Bitcoin Electricity Consumption Index (CBECI) and the Digiconomist Index. [Both] models have significant limitations due to their reliance on unverified or generalized assumptions, such as uniform electricity costs... Additionally, both models face challenges related to the extrapolation of limited or outdated data Where the article fits in the overall literature: The article adds to a growing Scientific Consensus, where 15 of the last 17 peer reviewed works on Bitcoin and Energy found positive environmental externalities from Bitcoin mining source: xitter.cf/DSBatten/status/187485…
87.5% of contemporary peer reviewed literature on Bitcoin and energy highlight Bitcoin mining having significant, scaleable environmental benefits This shift in scientific consensus follows the same trend to that of other nascent technologies, where first generation research is superseded by more nuanced work based on better understanding, more case studies and improved data Here is the list of those 14 of the last 16 peer review academic papers on Bitcoin & Energy showing Bitcoin Mining to have significant environmental benefits 1. How Bitcoin Can Support Renewable Energy Development & Climate Action pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs… Findings Bitcoin mining helps renewable developers generate more profits, accelerating the renewable transition 2. Bitcoin’s Carbon Footprint Revisited mdpi.com/2078-1547/14/3/35 Findings [our research finding support] "a possible role for Bitcoin mining in promoting grid decarbonization" through effective demand response 3. Promoting rigor in blockchain energy and environmental footprint research sciencedirect.com/science/ar… Findings Reveals fundamental flaws in the work of Alex de Vries/Digiconomist (heavily quoted by mainstream media) 4. Bitcoin and Its Energy, Environmental & Social Impacts mdpi.com/2078-1547/14/4/47 Findings There is "transformative potential in the Bitcoin mining sector, especially regarding demand response, grid flexibility, and methane mitigation" 5. Drivers of Bitcoin Energy Use and Emissions Hass McCook link.springer.com/chapter/10… Finding Bitcoin mining's emissions has likely already peaked and is now trending downwards 6. Pairing crypto mining with green hydrogen offers clean energy boost sciencedaily.com/releases/20… Finding Bitcoin mining with green hydrogen makes wind farms 73% more profitable 7. Can bitcoin mining increase renewable capacity? sciencedirect.com/science/ar… Findings * Bitcoin mining can increase renewable energy penetration and obviates need for gas peaker plants. * "When Bitcoin miners provide ... demand response, their emissions impact is largely mitigated." 8. Cryptocurrency mining as a novel virtual energy storage system in islanded and grid-connected microgrids sciencedirect.com/science/ar… Findings Microgrids (MGs) not using Bitcoin Mining waste significant renewable energy. However using Bitcoin mining * stops almost all renewable waste* reduces MG costs by 46% * accelerates MG development * decarbonizes power production 9. High resolution modelling and analysis of cryptocurrency mining’s impact on power grids: Carbon footprint, reliability, and electricity price sciencedirect.com/science/ar… Findings Bitcoin mining's flexibility increases both grid reliability & stability 10. An integrated landfill gas-to-energy and Bitcoin mining framework sciencedirect.com/science/ar… Findings Bitcoin mining can profitably reduce landfill methane 11. Renewable energy and cryptocurrency: A dual approach to economic viability and environmental sustainability cell.com/heliyon/fulltext/S2… Findings * Bitcoin mining reduces the ROI from 8.1yrs to 3.7yrs while reducing CO2 emissions by 50,000 tonnes/year on a typical 50MW solar farm * PoS blockchains (such as Ethereum) can not offer these features * Profits from Bitcoin mining using renewable generation help accelerate the energy transition 12. Can bitcoin mining empower energy transition and fuel sustainable development goals in the US? sciencedirect.com/science/ar… Findings * Bitcoin mining with renewable energy is profitable in 96% of cases * Bitcoin mining is more consistently profitable than chemical-based utilization (hydrogen, ammonia, methanol) * "Profits from bitcoin mining can empower energy transition" 13. The Relationship between Biomass & Bitcoin mdpi.com/2071-1050/16/18/791… Findings * "Bitcoin [can] accelerate the UN's Sustainable Development Goals” * Bitcoin mining provides a way to make often economically unviable bio-refineries profitable 14. Can Climate Change be Mitigated through Green Hydrogen Coupled with Crypto? cetjournal.it/cet/24/114/061… Findings Pairing Bitcoin mining and Green Hydrogen can * Accelerate the buildout of solar and windfarms * Boost direct air capture technologies, capturing >7.4 t CO2e per Bitcoin

Or, he and the Ukrainian's do not accept the terms which you and Trump find acceptable. If Putin leaves, the war ends and elections can be held.

Putin can’t believe his luck. Here is Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov on Trump: “The new administration is fast changing all foreign policy configurations…This coincides with our vision in many ways.” Trump now backs dictatorship, not democracy. We cannot allow that to stand.

If you don’t want WWIII, then you don’t want some thug dictatorship thinking it can invade countries whenever it feels like.

If you want to stop World War Three, think what would have stopped World War Two. Occupation of the Ruhr. Anschluss with Austria. Annexation of Sudetenland. Hitler could have been stopped each time. But fear of war led to war. Don’t repeat the mistake. #SlavaUkraini
