Thank you to Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove of Park Avenue Synagogue for his friendship, support, and leadership. I deeply value our relationship and his unwavering commitment to New York’s Jewish community.
Confronting antisemitism and ensuring Jewish New Yorkers can live and worship safely will be a top priority in the Attorney General’s Office under my leadership.

Also… is former NY State Senator Kevin Thomas the BEC broker or am I hallucinating political personalities again….

On September 10, 2026, New York elected officials swapped partisan politics for runway couture at the iconic Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center for the third annual Style Across the Aisle fashion show.
Founded by Skye Ostreicher, the bipartisan showcase paired leaders from across the political spectrum—including Representative Tom Suozzi, City Council Speaker Julie Menin, Comptroller Mark Levine, and Commissioner Rafael Espinal—with local designers representing their home boroughs.
The evening also marked a solemn milestone, pausing for a moment of silence in observance of the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
APB was on the ground with exclusive access as political rivals stepped out together in celebration of local craftsmanship, culture, and community impact.
Mike caught up with Rafael Espinal, the Commissioner for the Mayor’s Office for Media and Entertainment who wore Park Hill - a Staten Island based brand.
Beyond the runway spotlight, organizers announced the launch of the Style Across the Aisle Foundation, partnering with Witness to Mass Incarceration to turn this rare cross-aisle momentum into year-round vocational fashion and tailoring programs for justice-impacted youth.

Grateful to @SkyeStats & @InTheRoomMedia for invite to @StyleXAisle at @LincolnCenter. Great to meet fashion designers who’ve used @SBAgov products - including @ElieTahari - while celebrating the entrepreneurs, makers & workers powering NYC’s fashion small business ecosystem.
Ask me what it feels like to host an event somewhere, have Jay-Z host there 3 days later, and then 2 weeks after that, the Mayor announces 70,000 people can go there for free
Why is Andy Byford called Train Daddy?
Bc he says things like “hopelessly inadequate,” “suboptimal,” & “wholly unacceptable” when describing current conditions of @MTA @Amtrak @LIRR
Civilized language when describing uncivilized situations is what makes us tick #traindaddy

We were down with the Orange and the Blue at Style Across the Aisle—or should we say, Style Across Teams!
We partnered with Witness to Mass Incarceration, whose vocational training program, The Art of Tailoring, provides entrepreneurial education to system-impacted New Yorkers.

This year’s lineup includes several openly Jewish, pro-Israel lawmakers — including @NYCComptroller, who is paired with Yosel Tiefenbrun, a Chabad rabbi-turned-tailor whose Tribeca studio sits blocks from Levine’s office.

When @SpeakerMenin walks the runway at the Metropolitan Opera House next week, she will be dressed by Israeli American designer Elie Tahari.
The pairing is driven by their shared history of entrepreneurship and building success from the ground up, but amid heightened antisemitism, the moment also spotlights two proud Jewish and Zionist New Yorkers.

Style Across the Aisle founder Skye Ostreicher (@SkyeStats), a New York political personality, told Jewish Insider the event’s goal is to build bridges and remove labels — designer labels as well as political and religious ones — that make it easy to reduce people to caricatures.
Ostreicher, who identifies as “a proud Jewish woman,” said she worked to include participants of every background.
